Neighborhood Readiness Project

I live in a small town in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California. It seems to be the kind of place that would naturally pull together in a time of crises because many people out here seem to be awake and aware.

There was a flier on the bulletin board at the local market today that I thought was interesting. It was for a Neighborhood Readiness Project. I have posted a link to their website below. My thinking is that other people might find the idea useful as a model and might possibly want to step up and organize something similar in their own community.
