Some white fillings do contain radioactive material so they show up on X rays, some even contain fluoride, but the thing that may be most disturbing is that MANY white fillings are of a type of plastic that leeches badly creating the pseudo-hormonal effect. ( bisphenol A?) Zirconium oxide is my best answer to that as a filling material, using the cerec process.
Also I was reading yesterday about iodine and why to some it is not at all good, even the Lugols. It's a tricky business. I'd definitely do the seaweed over drops unless you are absolutely sure on her individual chemistry, it's sometimes greatly counterproductive, iodine even whenconditions point to the benefits.
