Anyone lost their taste for Dairy Milk?

Here comes the Kraft chocolate triangles Very sad indeed. For me the saddest things is that Cadbury was a great philanthropist and the company really looked after its employees. Kraft are a multi billion dollar conglomerate.......say no more.

PS Did you know that in 1834, Mr Cadbury was so disgusted with the Gin addled British public he introduced hot chocolate as an alternative; what a guy!

Yeah, sure it was all bluster about how they wouldn't consider selling to Kraft's paltry offer before Christmas... it's a true British brand (one of few left). But just up the offer per share a couple of quid and Kraft have got themselves a sweet sensation. Oh, and Cadbury's are suddenly apparently not too bothered about the jobs that will have to go.

Ok, it's true the chocolate's been watered and watered down since I was a kid. It's not like Kraft are getting a real 'quality' product (Although they do own Green and Blacks organic chocolate too). But it is something, that in an age of dried skimmed milk powder, cadbury's still use milk. (ok, I know milk is not healthy... but it is more so than dried skimmed, off-milk powder!)

Any other worlders who have not heard of Cadburys... this sale means that you soon will. Just as Nestle took over another English firm, Rowntrees, some years ago (... who invented the Kit Kat, Quality Street ((when they were quality lol )) the Fruit Gum and the Fruit Pastille )) , Kraft will no doubt have fun promoting this product around the world.

But I don't think I'll be buying anymore Cadbury's chocolate...

P.S. Couldn't find how to post 'off-topic', so feel free to move, moderators ! but I somehow feel this is relevant in all the smoke and mirrors going on lately. One minute Cadbury's says, no way, this is a proper quintessential English brand, and we're not selling - the next they do. It's not that I'm quintessentially british, or connect to one country, but those that sell off the silver don't seem to be either...
