In my extended family, we have a grab-bag instead of exchanging Christmas gifts with everyone in the family. The gift needs to be something that an adult of either gender could use (the adults buy for their own children separately).

I'm running out of ideas after doing this for years and the thought occurred to me that maybe members on the forum can help me out here. I'm asking for suggestions and links to websites in the U.S. or Canada where I can order something online. The cost should be $15 -$20 USD. Anybody? Thanks in advance... |

![]() We've had lots of chocolate as gifts in the past. It is a risk because some don't really want the calories... They do and they don't. Know what I mean?? |

Yeah, and I bet it's nice to observe people shopping for fun things. I like going to Whole Foods just to see the children in the grocery carts.

Mel of The Veritas Show (Manticore) if offering gift certificates, memberships to his show. I love this idea, for those who want to listen to the broadcast of interviews. But I guess you need someone in the family who is interested in this. Great idea though.

How about an ounce of silver? A gift that may go up in value! Go to a second hand store to purchase a coin.

i've often given 'silver coins' as 'gifts'

i remember one, i gave to a friend, born in 1966 a silver dollar, minted in the year of their birth, with 2 people in it, they, always treasured it, as, their 'lucky coin' |

How much does an ounce cost?

The idea is pure genius, but you know what? It might get me into trouble. It might be viewed as symbolic of my status in the family in their eyes, as far as I can tell - that of misguided, misinformed, paranoid, conspiracy theorist. Ho ho ho Merry Christmas!
