At least in the US, when you sign enlistment papers you basically sign away "ownership" of your body in the legal sense, for the duration of your hitch.

In the case of breeding programs or the abduction/training of children (or ritual/experimental use), I'm sure a legal 'contract' is nullified - no age of consent. If the parents, on the other hand, have authorized guardianship of the embryos etc to whatever horror here, the state, they'd be complicit.

I doubt what you're talking about here begins at 18. It wouldn't work. I think it's also why USA orphanages are targets, as the children are already wards of the state.

The same in the UK re what James said about 'recruitment' at juvenile detention centres. To leap in later, to have an 18+ year old sign on formally, is simply bogus paperwork. I'd like to know who's responsible for the paperwork.

Never mind, it would be the Attorney General in both countries.
