These are Archetypes of you.Your ego wants to be king over your will. Its will Vs desire.Your desire must be brought to balance with your Will. When you view things as aspects of your own Psyche, the picture becomes clearer.

You don't defeat Set or Satan, for he is your brother, following the first law of nature, self Preservation. The wax is necessary to have a candle.Little by little the gross nature is burned out, and nothing is left but the flame, and you and your brother are both transformed.

Satan wants to live and so does your will. He will destroy you and him both if you don't find Balance. This is within you not outside.Your own ego is the Prince of this world, seeking to hold the old ways in place, as will is saying, just beyond the horizon, there is a new day.

I've always thought of Jesus and Lucifer more as brothers that were split apart by their respective wills.

And yes, there MUST be balance in life. No other way.

Default The BBC Documentary was actually quite good.

The new Hollywood film is based on a book by Jon Ronson of the same title.

It was also presented as a three part documentary on the BBC narrated by Jon Ronson titled Crazy Rulers of the World. The three parts were titled "The Men Who Stare at Goats", "Funny Torture" and "Psychic Footsoldiers". Well worth watching, available as a torrent. maybe elsewhere too.

I rewatched it when the new movie was announced. It is not super in depth, but still interesting and entertaining. Skip the Hollywood version, watch the documentary with original interviews and nifty footage.

I couldn't resist posting this. It's a picture of my mate on the day he brought our baby goats home about a month ago. Unfortunately, Gus (the white one) died on Labor Day, but we still have Merlin (the one kissing) and I do spoil him rotten. He now wears a red collar with a christmas jingle bell on it. I do believe that he has me brainwashed. He has thing long, drawn out cry that lets me know when he's in need of company, and I do as he wishes. I did learn not to take my coffee outside with me, as he will bury himself up to his eyeballs in my coffee cup trying to get the very last drop.
