Barenaked Ladies

Rule the World with Love

It couldn't happen to a better man
It wouldn't happen with a better plan
While we were napping someone else began
To rule the world with love

It didn't happen to us overnight
Just 'cause it happened doesn't mean it's right
To our embarrassment we lost the fight
To rule the world with love

Hearts are won, empires fall
In love with love
Love will conquer all for one
One for all is fair in love and war

It couldn't happen to a nicer guy
You shouldn't ever have to question why
Just with the power of suggestion I
Could rule the world with love

I need to love you with an iron fist
I need to love you with a secret list
I need to love you til you don't exist
And rule the world with love

Love
Love
Love as defined by whom?

Hearts are won, empires fall
In love with love
Love will conquer all for one
One for all is fair in love and war
Love and war are one

How could it happen when we couldn't lose?
And now we're slapping makeup on the bruise
Though it was handed to us we refused
To rule the world with love

Love
Love
Love as defined by God!

Hearts are won, empires fall
In love with love
Love will conquer all for one
One for all is fair in love and war
Love and war are one

I think y'all are jumping too fast on the "OMG, Metal is BAD!" bandwagon.

I highly DOUBT that Megadeth is a band that would convey messages of a NWO, especially since they are lead by a devout Christian of all people (Dave Mustaine).

I play a lot of metal but I often do not pay attention to lyrics because I know they will be dark. I prefer to concentrate on the music itself.

I admit that I was wrong in the message that I picked up

They do want us to know whats going on and it is no secret that they like to "put it out there" for us to see

They lose................we will win with love because that is what our reality is all about

It is better that the masses know what the intent is so that we can fight back, whether it's by love or violence (I chose the former).

There are bands out there who are aware of this and as a result, they usually end up gettling blacklisted by the mainstream or their members are killed/maimed/dismembered by sinister forces.

that is so true. I started recognizing them. Its funny that I never knew how small this world is and there are so many ties that bind.

we are still bigger in numbers.

I know some of these guys briefly. Theyre no Illuminti puppets from what I can tell. Nice blokes who genuinely seem to care. Good song too:
