You have to remember HJ that EVERYONE is entitled to a belief of their choosing - whether YOU believe it to be wrong or right. Whilst putting your own point across, your above sentence is very dismissive of others beliefs.

Are you not being dismissive of my belief as well?

I take issue with people calling something very real a hoax. They are dismissing the earth changes because they do not "believe" in them. I find this morally repugnant and it does not take into account the suffering of others.
