Human Beings have been and are the only species on Earth which have developed any lasting technological society.

So far, we have not found any cities left behind by T-Rex or the Velociraptors.

Simultaneously, Humans are the only species which has propagated itself into near oblivion through Over-Population. All other species limit themselves to the "carrying-capacity" of their environment.
