I don't know if others thought of this, but this monster looks like a decomposed Hog to me. I grew up on a ranch, and saw instances of deformities in pigs born, some would survive. The small inset even looks like there is a pigs snout... that's what I see.

The head is not of a hog for sure. It looks like the head of an eagle with teeth. The smaller picture: yes, it could be a snout.
