And dare I say probably all other countries where there is a large amount of money to be made from introducing rules and regulations on the limiting of information. Because lets face it, if you don't know your being screwed on a daily bases, you'll continue to pay for the privilege. And for those that have a thirst for knowledge, they will continue to come back for as little of it as possible...until they start to believe 'there' version of the truth. Corporate entities control the mass of humanity at the lowest levels...and they don't want to lose it to a digital society of people capable of critical thinking. Lets face it, if we all got together to solve a world wide size problem, and it wasn't in there favour, there house of cards would flutter to the floor and the walls would come crashing down. And that scares them. Well I say GOOD! Let the fearmungers feel there own doing for a change. Karma three fold!

CAN SOMEONE PROVIDE OFFICIAL Intel on this ?

Official Goverment wording .. the law , the whatever ..

If you want to believe second / third / forth hand sources .. thats your choice ..

I say GIVE ME THE LAW, GIVE ME THE OFFICIAL WORDING of watever they are doing ..

then ill comment .. but as for now .. all you guys are spreading false intel from XYZ second/third/forth hand sources to which they have there own agendas ...

Great! Now all they'll have to do is use a bunch of civil liberaltarians, misguided conditioning, special intrest groups and a few cut throat lawyers and barristers and it'll only be a matter time before it's a Chinese Democracy version of the internet! If we kick up a stink, and they don't or can't use filters on the internet, they'll use a diffrent tactic and eventually get what they want. And probably pretend to compromise at the same time to confuse the public. What we need is a world wide version of the American constitution for the internet written up by an informed and knowledgeable GLOBAL public. And NOT by bureaucrates, legislators and Corprate intrests. Fight fire with fire on this one I say. And use their tactics against them.

I was told about it. But hadn't noticed it myself. Although, i've been noticing youtube giving me a choice if I would like to use a filter for my chosen country or not
