The power of music to awaken us / Tool the band?

I've been into Tool since before my teenagers were born. Yikes.

A few months ago, like some sort of awakened Cylon (lol) I kept hearing the song Aenima in my head over and over again. I'm not into lyrics very much and let's face it - it's not really Karaoke sing along stuff. but anyway, I looked up the lyrics to Aenima online and it is pretty timely and struck a chord.

"Learn to swim.
Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mom please flush it all away.
I wanna watch it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.
Time to bring it down again."

So, of course, now I have been listening to it on my walk and in the car. I have to tell you, every time I hear "Mom, please flush it all away" I get shivers. Mom = Mother Nature.

Loved it then, love it even more, now.
