Can anyone explain what is happening to me ?

I have one for the Avalon Family, a bunch of us were talking about this the other day how a few years ago the summer evening light lasted well into 10 -10:30 p.m. Now its 8 P.m.

And last night the Big Dipper was the largest I have ever seen in the sky, like it's getting closer like zooming in a digitail camera picture. I've noticed this with other nightime scenes as well.

Can I get some divine intervention from all of you, does this make any sense??
