Great replies one and all, and I'm delighted to see that I have only read a few of those suggested so far! I have attempted a book a week for almost 50 years, and I have no intention of slowing down. My own foundation list includes Joseph Campbell, some of the world's great scriptures and commentary on same...oh heck, I don't know where to start. There is one book that I have recently discovered that I strongly recommend. Instead of being a spiritual guide it is marketed as a business tool. It is also a tool for refining your self-understanding, your understanding of others, and becoming in effect your own life coach. The book is called Strengths Finder 2.0 and the author is Tom Rath. It's in the business section. I've posted about this book elsewhere so I won't go into another rave here about it. Strengths Finder 2.0 will help you identify your greatest abilities, nurture them continuously, network effectively with others, and plot a path for future growth. |

HELLO Friends,
Here is my recommendation for you RAMTHA-THE WHITE BOOK, This wonderful book is full to the brim with 'Ancient Teachings' and Great words of Wisdom dating back 35,000 years ago,to the times of Lemuria and Atlantis. It is absolutely beautiful! Last edited by STARCHILD; 09-26-2008 at 07:43 PM. |

The Law of One - books 1-5. You'll learn everything you need to know about the evolution of the mind. You will also learn who you are, where you are and where you are going. These books will challenge the way you think and will teach you many great things. They are full of just pure awesome information that can only be found within these books.

I've found this one particularly meaningful: The Children of the Law of One and the Lost Teachings of Atlantis by Jon Peniel. As a supplement: The Golden Rule Workbook by Jon Peniel and Jean D'Esprit If you want someone to tell you the way is easy and we all get a free ticket, look elsewhere. If you want someone to tell you the specifics of the hard work you need to do, Peniel spells it out. |

Anything by Eckhart Tolle.
Presently really enjoying The Miracle of Love by Ram Dass about his amazing teacher Neem Karoli Baba. by the way not sure if true, but I heard the "Mutant Message" author made much of it up. Supposedly a number of Aborigines claimed it was a gross misrepresentation of Aboriginal culture. The book was reclassified as fiction. |

And I really didn't get Light Seeds, it just seemed rambling and didn't do it for me. Am I the only one?

Not sure if this is off topic, but much of what is going on makes me think of
Childhood's End - Arthur C. Clarke .. 1953 This is of course not quite in the same category as a lot of the books mentioned.. but a good one.

I picked up a book called "Awareness" by Anthony DeMello, 4 years ago. This book was given to me by two different people in the same week, so I figured there was a message in it for me. I refused to read it after three chapters. I recently picked it up again, on the heels of having finisihed A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, and I didn't want to put it down. Perhaps it's good to have Light-Seeds in your possession. It might beneficial later. Peace. |

I almost forgot to mention one of the most important books in my own development. It is called Nutrition And Spirituality by Roberta Atti Johnson or Johnston.
This book appeared in a package in my mailbox about 1991, and did more to shape my approach to health than anything else I ever read. I must have read it twelve times. I never learned who sent me the book, and I have never been able to find another copy, not on Amazon and not in the library. Odd. |

Which is why I was able to read Mutant Message and appreciate the message of oneness delivered in the book, without paying any mind to the controversy surrounding Marlo Morgan and whether or not the story was true. Peace. |

I'd also recommend anything by Barbara Marciniak, David Icke, Barbara Hand Clow. I loved reading Brad Steiger's "Star People." |
