Please be cautious with the statement:

This chemical is produced in the pineal gland

It 's not for annoying people but spreading hypothesis as truth work against knowledge. The wikipedia in this case is clear with the wording:

Dr. Rick Strassman, while conducting DMT research in the 1990s at the University of New Mexico, advanced the theory...

.

Strassman speculated that DMT is made in the pineal gland...

Until someone carries out a study to test this attractive hypothesis it still is an hypothesis.
