I'm so confused about 2012

I have been digging into the origins of the 2012 phenomenon and it looks to me to be entirely fabrication. The so-called Mayan origins of the December 21, 2012 date are tenuous at best, and fraudulent at worst. There is nothing special going on in the way of either planetary or galactic alignment at that time. The notion of a geographic pole shift "just happening" has no basis in reality. To put it simply, people are just making this stuff up for their own strange reasons.

That's not to say we aren't facing a host of VERY REAL problems. Civilization cannot go on much longer on the current path. Due to overpopulation we are facing major problems with pollution, resource depletion, and potential famine due to severe changes in the weather. Economic irresponsibility and greed have made a mess of the global economy. California and the midwest (New Madrid fault) are due for big earthquakes. Climate change may result in higher sea levels and destroy coastal cities everywhere. The list goes on.

The extremely wealthy of the world who are forcing the planet to keep running on rapidly depleting fossil fuel supplies are one of the biggest problems. They are insane and will not be easy to dislodge. It may be necessary to "crash the system" to get rid of them. Support the free energy project of your choice, and tell Obama it's time for some real change. We may just be able to muddle through. Maybe.

Focusing on 2012 detracts from looking at what is going on around us and doing something about it. We need to get out of denial and fix this mess ourselves. I believe those who are waiting for ascension and a 4D salvation will continue to wait for a long time (George Green calls this New Age nonsense in his recent interview - he thinks 2012 is a date TPTB have set for completing their population reduction plans). 2012 will come and go, we will still be here, and the problems will still be unsolved. Civilization may collapse, not because of "them", but because of "us" - because we fail to remain civilized in the face of great challenges - because of selfishness and fear.

Small changes add up. Find a way to connect locally, heart to heart, with people in need. There are children in need of responsible parents and mentors in every community (I highly recommend the Big Brother Big Sister program). Food banks are having trouble because of the economy. Do what you can - how it changes you is the important thing.

Amen Jnana, I do participate in the 2012 meditations et al but I firmly hope that the others, like me, don't just lose themselves in the fixation on a coming ascension, that indeed does suggest itself.
The whole research, the amount of books there are, the different interpretations, oh it's Solaris all over again (read that book). I think it is an important date for someone/thing has planned toward it and it is a cosmically unique happening, but why would you want to know what it really is about?

I agree with you. There may be substantial and even devastating events which occur in 2012...but a catastrophic pole-shift or destructive close passage of Nibiru seems far-fetched. In his Project Camelot interview, John Lear basically took this view. Although, what if the moon is Nibiru...and the aliens decide to fire up the anti-gravity device...and move the Moon really close to the Earth? I'd better not give them any ideas! Perhaps we should plan for a responsible future. Our planet is how we plan-it. I anticipate a continuing paradigm-shift...but I'm expecting to continue in 3rd dimension past 2012...regardless of how positive I become, or how fast I vibrate. When I die...I expect to get recycled back into this madness in a timely manner...no heaven, no hell, no 4th or 5th dimension. We may be in the middle of Civil War II, World War III, and Reich IV....all at the same time. I hope not. I would like to see the U.S. Constitution embraced by all nations. I would like to see the New World Order Alien-Theocracy go away. I would like to see malevolent spirits and aliens go away. I would like to see war and debt COMPLETELY eliminated. These are some goals I will work toward as 2012 approaches. Mr. X indicated some type of alien appearance in 2012. Would this be NWO manufactured...or a liberation by benevolent aliens...a sort of Judgment Day? Damned if I know...

I agree that there is nothing to worry about, but the instant transformation into lightbodies might be a bit optimistic. It is perfectly Ok, though, to be in our physical bodies the next few years.

'In my book', based on the teachings from a deep source over many years, being in a physical body means freedom to create in all different directions. You have so many great projects going, and I am sure your daughter will take a leaf from your book and see the splendour and blessing all around.

I was getting ready for the worst and I don't regret it ; even more after the desaster of Kentuky.We need to be ready for extreme climat changes not the end of the world for wich there's no pysical preperations,only mental ones.

Solitaryman, after experiencing 22 degrees for almost 6 months with snow and little sunshine, that was the main reason we moved to Hawaii. Some folks like it cold, others hot.. I fall into the Baby Bear category where I like it not too hot and not too cold.
