I think that would have been a good argument back before the 1980's, but from my experience race was not an issue in awards and beauty pageants from then on. I really don't care if they want to honor their own race with awards, but don't get ****** when it is suggested that maybe we need a white awards now. Or how about the NAAWP? That would fly like a lead balloon.

I think the problem comes in when there is obvious discrimination going on, but I haven't seen that in music, acting, or beauty pageants in many years.
