Worst cover story ever!!!
Hi folks
I thought it would be a laught to have an Avalon Award for the Worst Cover Story Ever. This thread is for suggestions. Examples might include: The official 9/11 story, particularly the collapse of Building 7- government response "er, the fire made it collapse into it's own footprint" The Roswell Incident- Military response"it was a weather balloon son, not a flying saucer" The Rendlesham Forrest Incident- Military response"it was a lighthouse son, not a flying saucer" The Iraq invasion- government response "its about terrorists and WMD's son, not oil / stargates / money / military base establishment /... The JFK assassination- government response "Oswald acted alone son, it wasn't a coup" Building of the Giza Pyramids and other ancient megalithic structures- official response "they used ropes and pulleys- it's irrelevant we can't do it today" You get the drift. Add you own, we'll select some of the best then put up a poll. Perhaps we'll even create a certificate to send to the winner, along with a shovel to help them deal with the bu****it. |

The Phoenix Lights UFO incident - uhm, yeah, that was those flares that we dropped a couple of hours after that thing thousands of y'all saw.
Even the guy who was governor of Arizona at the time and saw it himself now says it was real. Last edited by Jnana; 01-08-2009 at 08:03 PM. |

Of course we needed the seige at Waco! they were bad people!
(after the Police and Federal agents used the Branch Davidians gun range almost daily, had dinner and often chatted to D Koresh as he jogged outside the perimeter. Had they wanted to arrest him, they could of at any time in the two years before hand he was seen out and about daily.) |

All those really really complex and amazingly intricate crop circles are being done by a couple of twits down at the local pub and they go out into fields at night armed with just one wooden plank and rope and make all these crop circles! Yeah, right! (Their names were "Doug" and "Dave" weren;t they??!!! ) Hahahahahahahahaha!

Of course the fact there was Londons biggest ever anti terror and disaster planning exercise, on the same date AND in the same tube stations and on the same lines as were planned for on 7/7 AND the specialist 'anti terror teams' just happend to be in the area for their own exercise....
...... was all a coincidence. |

Oh and those holes through the carridge floors coming upwards were created by the new vaccum packed tupperware boxes, and NOT bombs on the lines.

I saw these two yesterday.
Cheney- "No one saw the financial crisis coming" and "Three letter agents did nothing wrong during interrogations." Yahoo news is pretty reliable for these Last edited by cantaloupe; 01-09-2009 at 02:03 PM. |

Re: Worst cover story ever!!!
Good one cantaloupe, just reminded me of Bush and Rice saying after 9/11 "I don't think anyone could have imagined terrorsist flying planes into buildings, not in this administration and not in the previous administration" when a detailed study had been carried out on that very subject and was easily available.
And rogue2, you're absolutely right- it's one of those "elephants in the living room" that are so glaringly obvious people overlook them. Last edited by Steve_G; 01-09-2009 at 02:13 PM. |
