Much to ponder. A lot to appreciate and value. May this thread overflow to the Mists and Avalon 2.

Idunno, thanks for that video, I will definitely watch it tomorrow. I think maybe Krishnamurti went deepest in the essence of freedom than any other. He was so passionately dedicated to it, perhaps because of his personal destiny, but whatever... it is a holiday for the soul to read his works or to listen to him.

Greetings

Normality is the capacity to express your feelings.
From the moment that you don’t fear to share your heart,
you are a free person.

You know what - Gypsies are FREE!
So much pain and suffering,
and still so much carefree, music and joy!
Even their legendary love for stealing horses
is like they are stealing the freedom.
There is a metaphysical symbolism in it.
As one gypsy singer from my country says:
Gypsies are able to trick the Sadness.

Very wise words. Sadly, we are trained to hide our feelings and emotions. If people were not afraid to openly express feelings, there would be less misunderstanding, pain, and hurt. Yes, we need to feel them all. From love to hate, from despair to ecstasy. Every human being is both rational and nonrational, both child and adult, both masculine and feminine, both poet and engineer. Our feelings and emotions are the fabric of who we are. When we suppress and hide them from ourselves and others, we not only betray ourselves but also we block our creative and spontaneous energy that makes us fully alive. In fact, it takes a good deal of our energy to control our feelings. I believe that the greatest gift we can offer each other is when we can share our deepest nature expressed through our feelings and emotions. Easy to say, yet difficult to do it.

Well said. I don’t even have this word in my dictionary. The magic words are unconditional acceptance.

"You don't have to do anything to acquire happiness.
The great Meister Eckhart said very beautifully, "God is not attained by a process of addition to anything in the soul, but by a process of subtraction".
You don't do anything to be free, you drop something. Then you're free.
It reminds me of the Irish prisoner who dug a tunnel under the prison wall and managed to escape.
He comes out right in the middle of a school playground where little children are playing.
Of course, when he emerges from the tunnel he can't restrain himself anymore and begins to jump up and down, crying, "I'm free, I'm free, I'm free!
A little girl there looks at him scornfully and says, "That's nothing. I'm four".

Aloha Aloha,

Thanks for visiting us here.
I do understand what you are telling us.
I just want less suffering that`s all.
There is no excuse for producing pain.
This is what about all of this thread is.
Thank you, really.

Come again.

Expose yourself to your deepest fear;
after that, fear has no power,
and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes.
You are free.

Rightly understood,
a universal licence to be good.

It is so true that it is no road. But to be free is to be aware moment by moment of our limitations that we create for ourselves and others and let them go.

Freedom is a complex phenomenon, it does not consist of single quality of life...
therefore, there must be will and knowledge and purpose acting together then there is real freedom,
of all human suffering,
and then you can close your eyes, sit in peace and feel free ,
free of your tasks,
your burdens that you don't want to carry,
for they are your passports to freedom.

Thank you, Truth and Agape for your contribution. It is pleasure to have you on this thread.

For all visitors and contributors to this thread: I asked it to be transferred to Avalon 2 as well as to The Mists of Avalon forum and it will have different (I believe) life on both forums. I hope the thread will soon be transferred.
For me, it was pleasure and inspiration to be in position to share with all of you the rich legacy of human`s yearning for freedom, both spiritual and socio-political. I do not make strong separation, even they have different basis, but I strongly believe in harmony between them as condition for a full development of the human potential. I never lose my belief in humans - they can be such glorious beings and they showed it countless times in our positive historical legacy. I also strongly believe humanity will finally, in near future, come to the point were we can clearly say: We are now free. Now, let us show the Universe and the Creator our true potential.
With this hope, I am inviting you to continue our path.

Love&Respect
