Originally, I thought he was implying Earth changes, which seems very probably with SF, but I couldn't fully put my finger on it with Damascus. Maybe because we bomb the hell out of it. Time will only tell, as Hidden Hand also implies himself.
I thought the SAME EXACT THING... I read through Hidden_Hand's posts yesterday... BTW - the ENTIRE post resonated with me. - then I turn on the computer and see that we have attacked Syria - Damascus.... hmmmm...
Curious to say the least.

I don't see a difference between attacking a Syrian village and attacking Syria. After all, didn't our 'leaders' proclaim 9/11 an 'attack on America'?

As for fear, that is the individual's response and they are responsible for it.

I for one am not afraid - just interested in watching events unfold and saddened for the people who died.

I'm not going to argue my point with you because we've been there before on another thread a few weeks ago, and talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, so I see you haven't changed. P.S. The other thread was about inner city children who don't have a choice, remember? I do.

I guess, the Syrians have as much to do with their Government, as the Americans have with theirs.

What an outrage for the president to invoke the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in his address to the United Nations, a day after a Canadian government commission accused the U.S. of rendering a Canadian to Syria for torture. Did no one on his staff inform the president that Article 5 of that declaration explicitly states, "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment"?

For those, like Bush, who regard torture as a variant of college fraternity hazing, it would be instructive to consider the fate of Maher Arar as revealed in that devastating Canadian judicial report released on Monday. Arar, a Canadian citizen and engineer who had fled repressive Syria two decades earlier as a teenager, was seized by the FBI at JFK Airport and "rendered" to the government of Syria for nearly a year of being whipped with a "shredded electrical cable until he was disoriented"--that is, when he was not confined to his coffin-size cage.

The United States transported Arar to the very same Syria which Bush has been condemning since his first days in office, and as he did again on Tuesday, calling Syria "a crossroad for terrorism." So, will anyone in that somnambulant White House press corps dare ask the president why he would turn over a prisoner to such a government? And an innocent one at that?

US special forces launch rare attack inside Syria....Washington Post

Quote:
DAMASCUS, Syria -- U.S. military helicopters launched an extremely rare attack Sunday on Syrian territory close to the border with Iraq, killing eight people in a strike the government in Damascus condemned as "serious aggression."

A U.S. military official said the raid by special forces targeted the network of al-Qaida-linked foreign fighters moving through Syria into Iraq. The Americans have been unable to shut the network down in the area struck because Syria was out of the military's reach.

"We are taking matters into our own hands," the official told The Associated Press in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the political sensitivity of cross-border raids.

Why, that is the reason, why keep on pushing it, isn't there enough trouble already. Why are they doing this really, what is the underlying reason, is it another case of oil?

I am afraid it goes further than that. What about the oneness ?

WE just attacked OURSELVES ... and should not think in terms of OTHERS.

WE (as one) are responsible ... (and should act somehow)

Cheers

Chill, I was just answering a question, so I guess we should go shoot down our own helicopters, oh sorry, I shouldn't say we or our or any form of. Or, better yet go stand in the middle of a war and yell out,"We are all one" and see how far that gets ya. PEACE! Sorry, just being a realist here.

Unfortunately?

Bubye now

Nope this won't lead to annihilation of SF or Damascus
fear mongering at its finest
Your right about that

Seems its just one scare after the next
one false alarm after the next

I guess sooner or later they gotta hit one huh? Law of averages?

well it does remind us of Pakistan now doesn't it?

Both Countries that have leaders sitting on powder kegs with fires burning all around them and only a squirt gun to put them out...

You know the leaders walked out in Public to condemn the US actions, but when they walked back into privacy, they popped the champagne thankful the US is finally helping.

Our new commander of Afghanistan is about to take over and his first goal is to bring some of the Taliban across as an alli against al Queda...

I wonder if the US will go to the Tribal members of Syria to turn against Hezbollah?

Or will they go to Hezbollah to try and turn them against Iran...

Iran will get angry losing Hezbollah and will launch an attack on Israel, but their Rocket will miss the coordinates and drop on Damascus...

Hezbollah will be angry at Iran for destroying their homeland and will attack the current government of Iran.

Everyone in California will be excited seeing Iran's cruel leaders fall, jumping up and down so hard they set off the San Andreas fault destroying San Fran...

It's funny how you say "we" as if you acknowledge what those people in power are doing...
Sad.
You still think you are the supreme nation on Earth also?

I'm really tired of the sing-song b.s. people keep chanting. the title is appropriate because it's TRUE. noone is spreading anything. if you want to sing koom-by-ya (or however it's spelled), then start your own thread and avoid ones with "fear" based titles.
