I just read these strict guidelines and then couldn't believe the nerve to actually ask for money at the end.....wow.......

OK here is my rant about pa2

Seems pretty obvious to me that it's about control. You only have to read the rules to see that

http://projectavalon.net/forum4/announcement.php?f=62

This is my favourite

Quote:
Any discussion of a product or service for sale, or of a website designed to sell products or services, is forbidden, even if you do not directly profit from such a discussion.
So if you find a site offering a good price for a water filter etc you are not allowed to share it with your friends, worst than that you can't even talk about it.
WTF is that all about????

I still don't understand the word censor. You can say bum, ass, bottom but not ar$e.

We are here because the world we are living in is going trough massive changes and yet we are being treated like little kids.

Everyone joined this forum to discuss OUR material, not to hear others showcase theirs. Members who insist on promoting / showcasing themselves, their own websites, philosophies, products, services or other unrelated teachings will be unsubscribed.
Does this mean T3J will not be allowed to talk about his dowsing?? And who is OUR???
Did Bill write this and wants us only to talk about his interviews?? Oops on the new forum I wont be able to mention his name unless it has been ok'ed

1. TARGETING INDIVIDUALS
1 Posts should not be directed to any specific individuals such as Bill Ryan, Kerry Cassidy or any specific witness unless a discussion has already opened. We advise you to direct your comments, questions and concerns to the group, so anyone may answer you. This promotes community discussion rather than individual confrontation.
I think who ever wrote those rules needs to rewrite them and bear in mind that the forum belongs to it's members, with out them they will have no one to control.

Hey don't worry the NFO will take care of us

Just heard that the rules where mostly copied from David Wilcock's site so that explains why they are so rubbish

Yikes, is that true? I really hope not, or maybe I don't understand this correctly?

If true, could a mod please explain what that means?

What if someone has some interesting original work they would like to post for others to read and comment on, and then maybe decided to inculde their post in an article or book they may professionally write?

Would Project Avalon own that work, and as such be entitled to any profits?

Actually Swanny, they are a quite common set of forum/discussion group rules.

I've been hosting yahoo groups for over 10 years and studied the subject quite a bit.

A set of rules became the custom back in early days of bulletin boards because human nature is to descend into a flurry of flame wars sending insults back and forth, attempting to out do the other in the piercing quality of the insult.

Basically our main rule is to be respectful, and don't name call and send personal attacks.

It is our wish that the forum not descend into the likes of the God Like Productions (GPL) forum. The moderators would prefer to not have to take any action against anyone. We all hate doing it and discuss almost every action with each other. People have made wild exaggerations that the mods are on some power trip. I don't see that at all.

And I still quit - I'm sick of being trashed for working so hard. I'm just helping out a bit as the current situation is so overwhelming.

No, no, no, - the full explanation spells out the reason:

POST OWNERSHIP

We consider posts to this public forum too important, for members to come back at a later date and remove them without good reason. Therefore this forum considers posts made to it become the property of the forum. Members who remove posts may have them restored again by the Moderators if it is considered it would affect the readability and flow of the threads they appear in.

It's a slow process - the ones doing it are just picking people out of their head, going through their friends lists, etc. Like Ross said, we can't have 6,000 people signing up at the same time. It will be spread out over weeks.

I went to send you an invite - but it said you already got one. I sent you a PM with the email address it went to.

Unfortunately the way things went down as an introduction to Project Avalon 2.0 was extremely disappointing to me.

I have worked to change many of the things you complain of, and not made much progress.

There were other changes that did not get put into those guidelines, before they had to be loaded onto the forum. I will try to help with those changes tomorrow.

I did start a thread for member suggestions and it has been well used.

[QUOTE=raulduke;258946]Umm, so which is it?
Quote:
Is the forum "RIFE with disinfo agents"
That is a member opinion. That is not from a moderator.

Quote:
or are there "very few"?
The current mod team I think is in general agreement there are only a few who won't be invited. Excluding "disinfo agents" is not the goal. The ones with the most "disruptive behavior" will be excluded.

Quote:
That's the problem Ross, I have thought about it and read as much as I could, really I have tried to be as objective as possible, but it still smells a bit fishy and I still have questions.
Well, I personally am very very sad about the way this went down - it is not what we had planned. Things happen and people make mistakes. I will personally apologize for the mod team and give my best advice to all before making my final departure. (Yes, I still quit. Time to spend much, much less time at the computer.)
Quote:
Here's the thing I don't get (well, one of 'em), if there are only a very few members who are the problem on this forum, logistically speaking, is it not completely ridiculous to weed out the majority of 'good' members as opposed to just finding the "very few". Truly that makes no sense, also if it's only a few trouble makers, why the need to uproot and divide an entire community?
It's the same thing. Pick the ones to leave out. And pick the ones to include. We can't add all 6,000 on one day.
Quote:
It'd be really nice if a mod would explain how the invites are being sent, because I read people saying things like members who've only been around a couple months are some of the first to get invites. Who knows, maybe they asked, maybe they knew the right peeps, whatever, the fact that mods aren't being very forthcoming about any of this stuff is only making things worse.
It's random - totally random. The mods that are left are on total overwhelm. Their organizer (me) got disgusted and walked out. They pick their own brain for a list of who they would like to invite, then they all discuss it. Have you ever tried to work with volunteers from all over the world, in different time zones and some with maybe only 1-2 hours to give each day? This is no easy task. Personally, I've been keeping a list in mod central for quite sometime now of posts/posters with really bad attitudes to see if it's a pattern or just a time or two.

Quote:
Can you not see that going around stating that if people want an invite, they may ask for one, is a bit prententious, like asking them to beg?
Oh for pity sake - they are just asking for your help with a very difficult and time consuming chore. Some people on the forum are reading the craziest things into what has happened. I know you haven't been getting a lot of answers - because the mods simply don't have the time, and have not even convened with each other much to come up with an official plan.

Quote:
Imho, what should have happened is, if you're going to judge members before allowing them in, the mod team should either have stated exactly on what basis one is admitted, and exactly how the process would be carried out, which should be easy enough? That or deliberate on the membership in full b4 allowing anyone in.
What shoulda been, woulda been nice, but it didn't happen, with this little volunteer team that also has to work and eat, and take care of family and sleep. The way I would say it is - on the whole are your posts constructive or destructive? Do you tear down or build up? I would guess there are about 12 people on my do not invite list.

Quote:
What? I think maybe you're taking yourself too seriously. Whose lives are at stake over a forum, and how is taking a light hearted approach to being subjected to these ridiculous circumstances somehow mocking anyone who would somehow place their life on the line on a forum?
This is a comment made by Jack who is not a moderator.

The last thing any of the mods want to do is moderate anyone or be a Hitler. They all wish you could all just moderate yourselves to be kind, constructive, considerate, and if you have a complaint, go ahead, just voice it in a respectful way with no name calling and no personal attacks. But if every post you make is a complaint then that is an issue.

This forum is not going to be able to please everyone all the time.

My questions is pretty simple:

Why do i want to join project avalon 2.0 ? Just to be steard in beliving one thing? To agree with bill ? or what?

I might agree with bill on some things. But some is in my view just pure bs. And i cant state that i feel hes wrong cause this would upset him or what?

Is this nazigermany on the internet or is this a free forum where we can discuss our different views?

im starting to get serisoly worried.

Please stop all this over the top level of exaggerating about the changes to PA2. It will basically be the same as this forum with a few minor changes.

I said above that you can disagree as long as it is done respectfully. If you join and find yourself truly disappointed you can leave.

They might be considered prickly by some but at least I was not getting on other people's nerves as some others here, who are part of the top management..am I being negative or unconstructive here? or maybe I am just telling the truth...or maybe what has been going on here for the last several weeks called upon such prickly posts? if you just look around more closely you will notice that in other posts too...

I’m not sure if I understand the guidelines or if I even read them correctly. Is the new forum and its material inaccessible to people that are not registered or logged in? If so, then that is not going to sit well with many of the people I have lurking. Some are in great positions of power and do not want to be exposed until there is some undeniable evidence to these whistleblowers testimonies. ..Or, in the least provide avenues for personal research. I really don’t see the reason for change, what I do see is an agenda unfolding. If these changes are due to certain so called elite people (here) having trouble presenting their truth without proof and/or answering tough questions…that gives me reason to think they are lying or withholding information.

The truth doesn’t need to be defended; it will stick out like a sore thumb. If we want everyone to be on the same page than we all need to teach, learn from, and tolerate each other. No one is above anyone. Why would you worry about your contributions unless it is only a belief or fabrications? Why act like you care, say I love you, speak of righteousness for all, express the need for everyone to have free will and speech…but turn around and place more restrictions, just like TPTB? All that will be accomplished is a small group of like minded people placed in isolation away from reality. You have to deal with reality head on, not run and hide from it. I could be wrong, but there is just too many accusations of all kinds being tossed around here lately.
