Afghanistan is a harder war because after all this time now, the Afghans have formed a cohesive, effective force to fight the allies with.

They are highly skilled mountain warfare experts, have almost perfect cam and concealment skills and are digging in for the long run. Its not a good place to be, as many hundreds of world leaders have found to their cost.

The last leader to subdue afghanistan? Alexander the Great.

Yes, outsourcing to the locals so you can go pick a fight somewhere else was not a workable strategy.

I'm guessing this is not going to end up one of our shining moments in history. <sigh>

Actually, the Special Forces groups working in the North with the Northern Alliance could of won this war within months had they been allowed to work inside the frame they wanted to.

Instead, they had to support a 'puppet' whos authority doesn't extend outside of main town kabul.

Afghanistan would now of been a stable, settled and western leaning country instead of the hot bed of rebellion it is now.

Exactly! But, the big question that is still looming is why were the Special Forces hamstrung into only supporting a puppet leader (a former executive of a major oil company no less!) while the British Forces were given the assignment of policing (aka protecting) the poppy fields? And isn't it intriguing that the poppy production of the Afghan farmers then exploded as the British troops were making sure the production and shipment of the world's largest poppy supply went along unfettered.

It should be remembered that the so-called "evil" Taliban was being paid aid money by the U.S. government before the Afghanistan war began. Does anyone actually remember the Mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan who were being supported by the U.S. military in their fight against the Soviets in the 1980's. The Taliban then came along and essentially wiped out the poppy production in the country, when they realized the massive heroin addiction of their population. Then, suddenly we had a 9/11 false flag operation to justify the U.S. military attacking the Taliban and ending their control of Afghanistan.

Interesting how things happen, eh? And, even more interesting to watch the mainstream media spin the facts about all these events. Are you still believing anything you read or see from mainstream news sources? If you do, you doing exacly what they want you to do.

And now, the Taliban are making a resurgence into Afghanistan. And, if they succeed in taking back "their" country they will no doubt mess up the worldwide opium trade once again. The opium trade is and has been run by the City of London (the financial block of global banking firms based in the center of London). So, a new military surge is being orchestrated to stop the Taliban using U.S. troops. These are the same troops that have been in Iraq for multiple tours with no apparent end in sight. What a complete farce!!!

May you find the truth!

The DEA have ex-special forces types in Afghanistan doing raids and crop destruction. Strange thing being that they are not getting every body - its almost like they are thinning the competition.
