Default Incredible Model Builder

Absolutely off-topic. But amazing all the same.

This guy has taken model building to a whole new level.
Mind boggling art. Especially of you have a thing for old cars.

Michael Paul Smith, precision model maker.

You will swear the guy's work is just photography.
Also,
T'was particularly fun for me because this was how America looked, when I was just a kid.

Film industry? Soooo perfect! Where are the trash cans, btw? I know, I know, there's always one in the crowd. I like designing theater sets, so I really appreciate his detail. Especially the milk box on the front porch of the bungalow.

Ooops, my bad, just saw the green trash barrel. I could look at these many, many times. Great find, kid!

Right outa high school I worked two seasons for L.B.C.L.O. which, depending on who you ask is either:
Lewd Broads Considering Lusty Orgies,
or
Long Beach Civic Light Opera.

I worked Oliver, Sound Of Music, and Oklahoma in the electrical, and grip dept. and... for Oliver I was a "kid wrangler". 1/2 the cast was a gang of kids under 12, most of who only were there because their stage-door mom's made them go.

Coolest set was the one we borrowed from U.C. Santa Barbara for Oliver. The whole set was always on stage. But you would pull pins here and there, revolve, bend fold sections, add in a drop for background, and voila! It became the set for all of the different scenes. Kinda like a "Mighty Morphing Power Set".

Worst job: In Sound Of Music, we had no mountain for Maria to climb, so we "floated her" out to center stage on a giant wheeled rock... very slowly. Guess who the lucky citizen was who got to dress black-out, and slowly push the rock, from behind, and crouch there through the whole damned song... Climb every mountain.... ugh! I still hate that song!

Little did I know, it came with a curse.
I am probably one of only 6 heterosexual men on this planet, who knows the words to nearly every popular show tune around.

Hey, ya take the good with the bad.

Fred
