Dark Flow
Mystery 'dark flow' extends towards edge of universe
SOMETHING big is out there beyond the visible edge of our universe. That's the conclusion of the largest analysis to date of over 1000 galaxy clusters streaming in one direction at blistering speeds. Some researchers say this so-called "dark flow" is a sign that other universes nestle next door. Last year, Sasha Kashlinsky of the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and colleagues identified an unusual pattern in the motion of around 800 galaxy clusters. They studied the clusters' motion in the "afterglow" of the big bang, as measured by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP). The photons of this afterglow collide with electrons in galaxy clusters as they travel across space to the Earth, and this subtly changes the afterglow's temperature. The team combined the WMAP data with X-ray observations and found the clusters were streaming at up to 1000 kilometres per second towards one particular part of the cosmos (The Astrophysical Journal Letters, vol 686, p L49)." Perhaps we are being sucked toward a bigger universe with bigger gravity etc... http://www.newscientist.com/article/...-universe.html |

Re: Dark Flow
Maybe the universe is merging into a multiverse??? I have seen some data to this end.

Re: Dark Flow
My understanding is that our universe is surrounded by other universes, there are as many universi as there are cells in our body...Matter being pulled to the edge and away from our own super massive black hole means that one of our neighbouring 'bubbles' is much bigger than us.

Re: Dark Flow
I read your last post K and started laughing as the image that immediately popped to mind was a bunch of bodies pressed up against one another. Michu Kako talked about how the multiverse is stacked up against one another like pages in a book. That was a great image to explain something so amazing.

I can't get away from the idea is that the engines are all black holes and when they reach critical mass (taking loads of stuff in), they at some point 'burb'... KLabs |

Re: Dark Flow
...or that there is another universe on the other side of the black hole and that they are also portals?
