Ron Paul on the Economic Stimulus Bill ~ C-SPAN's "Washington Journal"

Representative Ron Paul talked about the House passage of the $819 billion stimulus bill by a vote of 244-188, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. Representative Paul, a Financial Services Committee member, voted against the bill, as did the other 178 Republicans in the House.

Hi peaceandlove,

I just watched Ron Pauls' interview and question and answer session and, of course, I totally agree with the chap.

Just one question. Do you think over the last week or so that his exposure in the media has increased somewhat? First on Fox, then on CNN, now on public broadcasting etc. etc..

It may be that I'm wrong, but I was with the impression that his media outlet was more like Rense, Prison Planet etc., the more alternative media.

Am I right in thinking this way?

He's still a crackpot to me. I will concede that he has good points sometimes but otherwise, like Obama, he's no saviour.

It seems that even since the nominations there has been quite a bit more mainstream media coverage of Ron Paul and increasing ever since. Isn't it amazing, now that he is not a candidate, the major News Channels are now clamoring for his knowledge. Ron Paul's speech (podcast) from the Mises Circle Seminar this last weekend is very telling. (see post regarding speeches on this thread: http://projectavalon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10501) He is receiving invites from all over the world to speak. I guess Austrian Economics is gaining ground as a way to straighten out this economy as opposed to the Keynesian philosophy of big government.
