Sustainable living projects

Hello,
I was hoping it would be possible to devote a thread here to discuss any sustainable (eco) living projects currently active or being planned within Africa (any country). Perhaps as we become aware of such projects on the continent, or are able to begin our own, we could list and discuss them here on this thread? I'll be visiting the continent later in the year. Hope to hear from those with insight on the above topics here soon!
