Default Alan Watts--Bringing Eastern philosophy to the West

Alan Watts was an English philosopher who brought classical Oriental wisdom to the Western mind in the Twentieth Century. Through his wit, humor, and sophistication he was able to introduce the teachings of Taoism and Buddhism to the West like no other.

His lectures and books have given me a new perspective on spirituality and has influenced my life in a profound way. Although he humbly described himself as an 'entertainer' he has been a great sage and teacher to myself and many others.

What are your thoughts on Alan Watts?

I do like Alan Watts...an extremely knowledgeable man who i feel at that time was breaking new forms of thought in the mindset of the western public with regards to eastern philosophy... less division

peace

His writings a great help to me.
I now get a lot from David Hawkins and Eckhart Tolle both of whom draw heavily on Oriental Wisdom.

Thanks Chris
