I waited awhile after viewing this thread to see what the participants posting would offer as responses. I intuitively knew before I initially opened the thread what the post was about, and I am glad to see it hasn't become a slam fest.

That all expressed, perhaps we have something genuine to learn here. Why should we not feel we are ultra intelligent? Is it necessarily arrogant or conceited to feel this way about oneself, especially if it is only in comparisons to individual capacity and not a judgment and ranking in comparison to others?

Something to think about.

'We' (with Al Gore!) created the ability, and then exercise the ability, to commune(icate) across the planet.

'We' have shells and husks (bodies) that have thus far stood the test of nearly every toxic and polluting agent developed, when not exposed to the intense levels of direct hits. (( On this I'm thinking chlorination, fluoridation, mercury, etc. ))

'We' have the capacity to learn and change.

'We' care enough to propose ideas here and look towards improvement.

'We' seem reasonably intelligent and often ultra intelligent, to me.

Very intriguing and honest post i must say.

Some of us tend to despise any concept like that because it simply leads and breeds corruption. Most don't dig into it quite deep but rather see some gas winded politician spewing lies and brimming his pockets with golden treasures, we simply see the vile for vile.

We should be proud of what we achieve and set our sights to all paradigms, if we truly want it we can get it - this concept has bred people to do despicable acts and further push people away from material growth, i always thought we have alot of free speech to add ALL of our charms.

Agree 100%, nothing wrong with that but, this transition can only take place from the heart, if it stems from a mental nature alone, it will fail us. Our minds have to be silenced; intuition and higher consciousness will be the best tools for the coming rapid changes. Reason, as the conscious attempt to decide what is true and what is best in understanding reality (i.e. reason as means for man’s knowing ) alone will not suffice for man’s basic means of survival any more. As “time” becomes less and less linear and we switch into time/space rather than space/time, as we enter other dimensions and experiences of reality, the mind will become a hindrance, when things around us speed up, appear ‘unreasonable” and difficult to deal with.

I don't wish to be flippant...but I should point out the irony of the misspelling of the word intelligent as (inteligent) in the OP. Very amusing.

My father always told me that if your in a conversation with someone and you have the opportunity to come off as intelligent or to come off as nice........always choose to come of as nice. Its more important than intelligence.


Of course now I know that he was talking about emotional intelligence. I find that many people who think of themselves as brilliant are often so unkind to others...or so self-fixated they lack the ability to honestly discern the needs and wants of others. Go to any world renowned physics lab and you will run into droves of these people.

I don't percieve why people feel that they will be respected more if they come off as intelligent but a "bit of a dick"....rather than kind and accepting. I for one always choose the latter, as the former seems somewhat trite and shallow.
