Default Vitamin D supplements WARNING!!!

Vitamin D toxicity: Excessive exposure to sunlight does not lead to overproduction of vitamin D. Vitamin D toxicity is inevitably the result of overdosing on vitamin D supplements. Don't do this! Ingestion of milligram quantities of vitamin D over periods of weeks of months can be severely toxic to humans and animals. In fact, baits laced with vitamin D are used very effectively as rodenticides.

Where is "Henry Deacon" ?
I have some questions regarding his Vitamin D3 claims.

(Taking one type of D Vitamin over another is not good either.
It throws the body chemistry off balance.)

Summary: Sunlight good. Supplements bad.

*It seems to me we all should educate ourselves in depth on nutrition and how our bodies work so we can end this nonsense!

Ampgod

Vitamin D like any supplement can be overdone and can be toxic at high or sustained doses. On the other hand it can be used to address a number of conditions in the body that may have a cascade effect leading to chronic illness. Balance is always called for.

I sell supplements, and I absolutely agree that people tend to take too many. My boss doesn't like me to say it, but 90% of what we sell is superfluous and unnecessary...it's figuring out which 10% is important that's the challenge, because it's different for everyone.

I also agree that by far the best source of nutrition is natural, organic FOOD. At best supplements can be, well, supplemental. The fact is that due to soil depletion, our best produce contains only a fraction of the nutrition that was in the same vegetables and fruits half a century ago. Add to that the toxic diet that most people try to live on, and supplementation not only makes sense, it is mandatory.

Caveat emptor! Snake oil abounds! I know my boss tries to stock only quality products, and I try to guide people through the maze as best I can, but the best approach is the simplest. Eat as well as you can, get enough rest, exercise, and don't worry. Love someone. Be happy. And don't overdo the vitamin D.

All pills are based off of real natural remedies.
Pills are a bad choice in my personal opinion.

I hope more people look to real organic food for proper health.

The invention of "PILLS" is what caused "Colloidal Silver" to be shoved under the rug in the early 1900's.
What a shame.

As for Vitamin D.... Just stand in the sun everyday for 10 minutes (or more).

I figure that if a person is fit and healthy and their metabolism is working correctly, supplements of any sort are not necessary. BUT, if their metabolism is not functioning correctly, they may benefit from a short regime of supplements. This regime would best be determined by a medical practitioner and not just embarked upon because of health fears engendered by vitamin supplement advertisements.

Vitamin D is EXTREMELY important for your heal\th

just use your head in how much youtake in a supplement,
or
get a proper dose of sunshine every day

****ake shrooms
cut fresh
sun dried gills up
will absorb huge amounts of Vitamin D....
from documneted sceintific study.

But it depends on length of sun exposure.
Limit to 2 hours of gills up in the sun,
then dry in other means.

Other shrooms have not been tested for this attribute.

Aren't you thinking of Vitamin B? I've read that lack of sunlight leads to Vitamin B deficiency.

I live in the Northeast and our winters are usually bleak. I tend to get moodier in the winter so I try to increase my intake of Vitamin B and it usually works because I feel more alert and less depressed.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I fail to see what's wrong with taking a multivitamin. Some of us have not figured out how to create a healthy diet and as much as I hate to make excuses, it would be difficult for me to do so until I am able to modify my schedule.

Spirulina and chlorella are very good.

Start with 1 or 1/2 liter fress water or fress water with lemon juice, take your time, than one or two apples to begin with. Wait half an hour and take again 1 or 1/2 liter fress water, than an light healthy meal, with a big row carrot and chew well.
If you don't eat meat, you can eat a second meal after four hours, first take a 1 or 1/2 liter fress water and after 1/4 hour, 1/2 glass fress juice and mix in that 1 thee spoon msm and vitamin C,
with that 3000 or 40000 mg chlorella / 2000mg and 1 multi vitamin, and some spirulina.
Use cs.
Have some exercise and go in the sun as much as possible.
Take a light meal in the evening.
Don't eat to much, to fat, to salty, to hot or to sweet.
Don't mix protein with carbohydrate
Don't mix protein with sweet or fat

This is what I do and I am very healthy!

Very little is known about D3 toxicity, and many studies show no adverse effects at 10,000 IUs per day. For people who live in the north where it is cloudy in the winter, it is absolutely impossible to get the amount of sunshine needed.

A question since you're in the business...Thinking ahead, if someone was eating mostly canned goods for a period of time, what vitimins would be recommended, and in what quantitiies?

Good question, and it highlights another situation where intelligent use of supplements can make your life better.

What I suggest to most people is:

Fish oil
Probiotics
Digestive enzymes
A multivitamin
Antioxidants.

The quantity or dose will vary with the individual. If one has trouble with anxiety or stress, there are natural things you can take to deal with that. If you can't sleep, there are natural sleep aids. There are natural ways to deal with nearly every common condition, and they are much better in many cases than a doctor's care.

HD has been all over forumland under different socks. It's nice to finally see him sockless over at Davids. He's also been here the entire time with socks as well yet none of the members spotted him.

This is a myth.
There is no known overdose of Colloidal Silver Ion.
It is also not rejected by the body like PILLS are!
