My opinion: This didn't seem like his usual warm & fuzy audio blogs. There were a few negative undertones in there, which is unusual for him.

You are doing nature, consciousness and truth-seekers everywhere an ironic [and laughable] dis-service by *continually* starting your interviews and audio with this pseudo N.A. type statement about your 'clean time'.

For one the type of substances I think you're referring to don't cause any real addiction issues... I'm not creating a narcotic hierarchy here but being 'clean' is a stupid term as it is - implying of course that those with longer term, cyclic substance 'issues' are 'dirty'. If you went to a rehab, I doubt if people who have struggled for years with full-on alcohol, barbiturate and/or opioid addiction don't want to be seen in a dirty/clean dichotomy.

Also, you yourself should know that consciousness and reality finds its best model in holography. There is no such thing as a 'drug' or psychedelic reality and a 'straight' reality - they're merely different ways of seeing the same phenomena. Your words infer just the opposite - that you now have a 'legitimate' way of seeing the world that should be taken more seriously as it isn't part of a hedonistic and/or delusional and/or hallucinatory way of seeing things.

I've only heard 2 or 3 lots of audio with you - but each one had that disclaimer at the start. For me it meant I didn't want to bother continuing to listen to anything else you had to say. I'd also add that it could be seen as disingenuous to have used certain shamanic substances in your former exploration and testing of reality BUT then to indirectly claim these are no longer valid. Even if you think you are not implying this - this it what comes over to many people and you have a responsibility to not re-enforce that cop-out avenue.

If you disagree with the last point or think I've misinterpreted what you mean by including the statement - you could just stop discussing your previous use of psychedelics altogether. For me that's far fairer and won't lead to confusion.

Your legion of web-fans will no doubt be annoyed at me making this an issue... but no-one else is going to say this to you, so I will.
