Vague and ambiguos at least. Sorry but I don't get your statement. Perhaps you could elaborate. If you don't agree or believe in a God than why try and ***** in the thread with dribble? Does the concept threaten you? If you don't believe than why are even in the spirituality Forum? If you don't have any self respect than possibly you could at least try to pretend to have some for others.
Oh, But it was dribble in all respect <due>,
And the same respect would be given when someone would post porn for the people who are searching for porn. However, for everyone else, it is nothing else then playing missionary that tries to sell a product.. In this case the price is total obedience, and the product sold is god...

And no, I don't have to pretend here.. Here is what you see is what you get.

Lets see your challenge again:

"If you truly seek Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding then I encourage you to get on your face to the Great Creator with true earnestness and ask him to give it to you."

I think, (But some in the know and more erudite), can confirm that God didn't want that, because the moment the apple from the tree of knowledge/wisdom was eaten we were supposedly thrown out of Eden for disobeying that !order! .

So In all honesty, did ?he? change his mind?
Why? Was ?he? unjust while judging curiosity?
Why do we get this offer, but no one in the 2000 year before us?
How did God tell you this?

Now, I would or better I could accept god as an equal, and his purpose for mankind to create equals to spend eternity with....

But kneel for him, or put my face for in the dirt? That all by itself gives a dirty taste in my mouth that would last an eternity to get rid of...

I hope you don't take this as an insult, and I am very convinced that you will use the knowledge of understanding and wisdom as given to you (You DID already GET THEM REWARDS YES??????), to interprete and judge this reply to your so urgent request.

Any more questions, that weren't answered yet by the wisdom, knowledge and understanding as given to you..

Just shoot, and I will try to plug the holes.

With all respect Due

TranceAm.

Edit.. Since I got some time, and am bored as hell, I will answer the rest of your second post also.

"If you don't agree or believe in a God than why try and ***** in the thread with dribble?"

If you would have advertised IN the subject that this challenge was about GOD, I wouldn't have been here, only the people that ALREAYD believe in GOD.
so false advertising, and wasting precious lifetime..

"Does the concept threaten you?"

Far from, I don't believe in Boogie men or Santa Claus... As always, The offer still stands, If boogie men, just send them to me....

"If you don't believe than why are even in the spirituality Forum?"

I think Spirituality doesn't nesessary have to be found in where you "claim" you found it. (And I personally doubt it..... And I will show you why.)

"If you don't have any self respect"

I think, I have the HIGHEST self respect from the 2 of us, since I don't try to find it somewhere else, by BEGGING for it.

"than possibly you could at least try to pretend to have some for others."

Say what now?
You tell me in front of an audience to "lie" by "pretending?
Halleluya, we have a wittness.

NOW THAT all by and in itself WOULD BE A CHALLENGE I gladly FAIL..

Now wanna stand in front of "gods" judgement?
I can handle it with open mind and eyes and without fear... Can you?
I guess, that is called Knowledge by Understanding based on wisdom.

Lol people who dont believe in God

How come this Universe to be?
A chance freak of accident devoid of Intelligence...?
Something came from Nothing...?
Surly it most be a Deliberate Creation or a Projection by Someone or Something...!

Now the Nature and Concept of God can be discussed and experienced...

No wonder the utter confusion among Man when not even the Basic of Basics are agreed upon...!
Truth is Truth no matter who and how many denies It...!

God is God and the same God in every language and culture of the Earth
Man adorn Him with different Names

So He has His Ministry His Spiritual Departments a Spiritual Hierarchy
And on the Top the Ancient the Most High spinning His web of Creation or is it Projection ...like a spider and her web...

Modern Man have for some mysterious reason an inflated ego...so big one would think there were room for a concept of God...but noo many are to big for God!
Modern Man are to proud to bend or surrender to Will of God...to proud to acknowledge and accept a Force more powerful then themselves...
Simple reason for this is that those men do not know have no experience nor have been in the aware proximity of God...!

Scooby, I understand that you think you have something important to share. The problem is that you are presenting your beliefs and opinions here as FACTS.

Pardon me for being honest and frank; but that makes you come across as arrogant and condescending. You talk like your beliefs are superior to ours. Perhaps they are right for you, but that doesn't mean they're right for anyone else. You'd do well to encourage everyone to follow their own inner guidance.

If you find someone who's truly interested in what you have to say; Great!
Until then the best thing you can do is to live your life the best way you can, and let that example be your teaching.

I always find it interesting when the religious go up against the spiritualists (Remember ctophil and me! That was classic haha...) in that the religious folk horde together in a group with one turning toward the rest of the crowd "Don't worry, they'll it coming to them." While the spiritualists will just roll their eyes with a smile on their face and each go on their own merry way. The religious folk will continue to meet together in groups and focus on notions of separation and how to restore unity to the group to further the notion of separation between them and the almighty. The spiritualists however, will go on with the natural flow of life and simply due to synchronicity, they are brought together again in which they embrace the unity with a hug and a smile.

Scooby, my advice, rework how you approach people with your ideas and feelings, and I honestly believe people will listen to you more seriously, regardless of their current beliefs.

For example, there was a discussion panel this week at my campus focused on 'seeking harmony' through an association of secular humanists which I am proudly apart of. One of the four panel speakers was the representative for the local interfaith Chaplin service and is a Christian. In that terms of atmosphere, you think there may have been some tension. However, her views were greatly appreciated by everyone there, and she was very well spoken. I was very glad that they included her in the discussion. She was a very honest and good hearted person who was by no means in the dark or misled as some will always say in regards to religion. Namaste.

Are you not exaggerating a tiny tad lil bit here...?
ok here we go about the concept of surrender...it means to dedicate the fruits and results of your actions to God which in the 1st place is rightfully His as All is His but your act of conscious surrender and dedication to Him frees you from any karmic consequences of your actions...its more about a mental manner then literally falling on your knees worshipping...though the latter would also be a good exercise for proud and vain men lol

Yes true but there is this definite difference between intellectual concept feeling of grandeur and actual God realization : )

Hi Scooby,

Interesting challenge. If I read you correctly, then your challenge is to submit to a higher power in order to attain "Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding."

I've done this in my own way, but the only understanding I have ever truly asked of "God" is why does innocent suffering exist? That's the brick wall I ran into years ago, and I'm still not through it.

I was raised Roman Catholic w/ very religious parents, and I have had around 13 years of private catholic schooling (4 years at a jesuit high school), so I've had ample time to consider this problem.

The biggest problem I have w/ the idea of an omnipotent/omnipresent God is that, if he/she/it is an all powerful force, than why the **** is there innocent suffering present in the world. Why are villiages in the Congo and Darfur and all over the third world, being massacred and herded into refugee camps. What did they do that they deserve such an awful experience to be forced upon them. If God controls all and is everywhere then, what the **** is he doing. I feel almost guilty for having had such an easy life (comparatively) so far. Why do I deserve a free pass because of my birth parents?
Now, people will say that suffering is a result of the devil's influence pulling people away from God (sin). Sinners through their actions, can inflict suffering upon themselves or others unfortunately. So if God is omnipotent, wtf, why not just get rid of the friggin devil? Because we need suffering to learn?

Well I'm sorry but if that is the system, then it's ****** up, and I want no part in perpetuating the idea that God is omnipotent, it simply doesn't make sense, to me anyway. He may be omnipresent, but if he is omnipotent then he's a dick.

I can see that you're adamant in your belief that we are not given everything we need inside of us, and that understanding must come from outside. I disagree for now and oddly enough I wrote what might be considered this threads antithesis just before you wrote this one. I've gained more knowledge/wisdom/understanding from my own experiences (and those of my peers/fellow humans) than I have from any books religious or otherwise. Third hand knowledge in iself is not necessarily bad, but imho it should be taken w/ a large grain of salt.

To these poeple who tell me they know the consequences of my earthly actions and that they know they'll result in eternity in a heaven or hell, I ask:

"Have you ever died before?"
"No, o.k, then you've spoken w/ someone who has?"
"No, o.k. well you've read a book about it then?"

The problem I've always had w/ people who tell me that I need to devote my life to God is this:

If this is the same God who made me in his image then I'm confused. Of course since they told me that, I thought God must be like me. I wondered how I would handle the role of God.
Well for one, I wouldn't be so needy.
He's a deity, why does he need all the hype from people?

If I had created life (as God), I certainly wouldn't make that life bow down to me, I would ask nothing in return other than for all life to have respect (and hopefully love) for all other life.
I really don't see why we need to focus so intently on a higher power. If it's out there then we'll find it in due time or it will make itself present when necessary.

If God needs attention, this way of going about getting it is childish imho, basicly a guilt trip from what I can see.

The Jesus story works the same as a guilt trip for some. "Devote your life to God, because he sent his only son to save your otherwise doomed lives." I can't jump on w/ that. First, because while I think that the idea of what Jesus accepted was the noblest thing any human could possibly do, I submit that given the same chance, the majority of people would do the same. Think about it. You can save all human life from certain doom by you allowing yourself to be brutally murdered after being tortured for hours. I would like to think that others are of the same mind here when I say that, i would certainly choose the redemption of all souls over my bodily wellbeing.
And oh yeah to sweeten the deal, if saving all of humanity ain't enough for ya, then we've got eternal paradise and unending fame on tap after it's over. Even if people would choose bodily self preservation over the redemption all human souls, I'm pretty sure they would jump at the chance for the sweetner bit.

And secondly, seeking God in order to save one's self is imo counterproductive to (what I think is) the message of God.

I always wonder when I see those WWJD bracelets. Really, do they need to stop and think about what Jesus would do in order to act kindly/respectfully.

So I have to refute all of the official the ideas that have been presented as to the nature of God.
My interperatation of "God" now is a single consciousness. That consciousness is in all of us I think, (so I don't think I am God, but rather a part of God) and we can tap into the unfiltered source at times when we're detatched from "self". As a result of this God can only be tuned into by those devoted to unity rather than self.
I certainly don't claim this to be truth, it's just my logical conclusions up to now.

So if the God you speak of is this omnipotent/omnipresent one, then I fully accepted your challenge long ago, and the understanding has still not come, so I had to reason for myself.

Perhaps I got it wrong -but if the creator and the created are one ( we are all a part of everything) then the creator has and always will be a part of you - so you don't need to go find the creator - it/he/she/ has never gone away !

E-MAIL FROM GOD
One day God was looking down at Earth and saw all of the evil that was going on. He decided to send an angel to check it out. He called on a female angel and sent her to Earth for a short time.

When she returned she told God, "Yes, it is bad on Earth - 95% is bad and 5% is good".

God thought for a moment and said, "Maybe I had better send a male angel - to get both points of view."

When the male angel returned he told God, "Yes, the Earth is in serious decline - 95% bad and 5% good".

God knew this was quite serious. He decided to E-mail the 5% that were good to encourage them; to provide that little something to help them keep going.

Do you know what that E-mail said?

Oh!.......You didn't get one either???!!!

This forum is about information. Opinion is also useful, welcome and more often that not fun to read.

However, if we start prosletyzing or trying to convert, splitting into polarized "for" or "against" camps and fighting between them, then you are really deviating from the intent of the forum. (I refer here to the earlier "shorter" posts).

I feel a bit hypocritical posting this because of my post replying TransAm, but I'll risk your wrath so I can do my job.

Please don't start, or prolong a huge fight.

"You must ask forgiveness for Sin(literally sin means falling short of his purpose for you)
It took me 48 years to get to the place where I quit playing games and thinking I was OK because I believe but never really sought with a contrite and open heart as a child that knows nothing before the Great PAPA before I really found Him."

Hi Scooby

Ok, let's use your analogy of God as parent. As a parent myself, I expect my children to stumble and learn from their mistakes but I would not require them to grovel for my forgiveness because that has already been granted through my unconditional love for them.

I think the only challenge we face is to accept the unconditional love of our creator and let it flow through us like an endless fountain.

"If you are just a lazy ass smart alec you wont find squat"

The very act of "searching" gives testament to the separation that makes us feel we have look outside of our own hearts to find God.

Love is NOT a challenge...but a personal decision!

Sin is an illusion created to control through fear.

We are here to learn lessons of unconditional love!

YOU are the One YOU have been waiting for!

Thought I'd share a channel of mine from a couple days ago,
seems appropriate here:

Once you help those in front of you bring the noise level down so that they may listen to their very own urges in the calmness and stillness and re-connect to their own Higher Guidance everything changes and the possibility of people "catching up" in the now to what is really going on will increase tenfold in the moment. There are people in front of you experiencing personal changes that are making them stand up and look square in the eye what is really creating all of the mayhem and that they can decide to not be a part of it any longer and not be in fear of taking self-responsibility and doing their very own good in front of them to be a part of the turnaround.

They are understanding, more and more, that each of them are a beautiful and powerful part of the whole...each of their soul signatures matters profoundly to these changes coming forth so that this may happen beautifully with their own added intent of love. Continue to let them know just how much each and every one of them matters and that the more they pursue knowing the truth for themselves and acting upon it themselves the more loving truth there will be, exponentially. Help those that are ready to quiet the noise level in their lives and consciously take hold of their own turnaround.

Most people simply need to feel and see your own connection to Higher Spirit in action and what loving confidence with humility and gratitude really means because they will see and feel what it really means right there with you. You can show them how VERY important each and every one of them actually is and how their own energy is meant to be an integral part of this beautiful turnaround and makes it that much more powerful because they decide to step into the beauty adding their unique unconditional loving energy without ANY fear of being pointed at and ridiculed by others because half of those 'others' have had experiences in their lives that they have hidden away and yet are simply just waiting for others to come forth with loving confidence so that they too can help change things right now without fear.

Help reawaken the personal Higher Knowing that has been kept under wraps for fear of ridicule and banishment...the energy of Higher Protection is becoming so strong and evident now that more of you are stepping forward... new people that are wavering will know that it is time to be ALL they can be by you being all you can be.

Each of US changes the world right in front of Us and right now, separately/together...by a simple decision of self-responsibility to express the Higher Love/God we already have within Us through every thought and feeling and word and action!

If You feel You have done some wrong things...just stop doing them, simple!

Hi Eaglespirit

Great Post!

Some may find the "decision" of unconditional love a challenge if they feel the need to grovel for forgiveness before being deemed worthy of it.

One question

if "YOU are the One YOU have been waiting for!"

Who is your "Channelled" source?

Hi Corky...Wishing You Well!

Who is your "Channeled" source?

In a way...My HIGHER Me!

We all have access to that "Source" for channeling, our Higher Selves!
Anyone can simply start talking to the Higher Realm of Love by asking
"What is it I need to know?" from a quiet place and then listening.
The communication will come for each and everyone that asks and listens. When you get a response, write it down if you feel you want to remember and want to connect stronger. And keep asking and keep writing and all the doubt of connecting to Your Own Higher Realm will dissipate...
and You WILL Connect!

To be more specific, I channel through the Council of Light which is simply my connection for channeling which in turn connects me to the Higher Spirit/Creator which in turn connects me to the Creator which in turn connects me to the Creator within my very own being!
And Co-Creation becomes a way of being in every moment!
And all we have to do is forgive ourselves and stop doing things we would not want done to us.
And anyone can do it by a decision and action : )

But you already knew this! : ) : ) : )

Nice thoughtful words to read there : )

In this vast ancient Universe human lifespan is like a blink of an eye...in this short period of time on earth its hard to get the big picture...
Now the old Indian Vedas state (and also Buddhism i believe) here is some Natural Laws working which is not so easily seen or understood by Man...but nevertheless affect all sentient beings...like the consept of Karma and Reincarnation - Reap what you Sow and the like...

Now Nature is not necessarily in a hurry to distribute the effects and consequences of ones causes and actions -Nature is patient to punish or please you for your own actions...ones actions in thought word and deed which follow oneselves like dust in ones trail -even into the next life...
So the reasons behind why things are as they are is not always out in the open and self evident...

Now if we live in a Universe self-governed by Natural Laws -Karma will bind one with iron or gold chains depending on ones deeds in thought word and action...God which is above and beyond the Laws of Nature have the capacity to break those Chains of Karma by Grace - How often and why God would interfere with His Self-Governing Natural Laws i dare not say...but since God has the Heart of a thousand mothers and Man has free will -it would not hurt ones chances to simply ask and invite God to step in and take some action...

In times of trouble Man remembers God
In times of ease Man has no need for Him

Man is so playfully occupied in the Garden of God -so much so that when God asks dont you want to befriend Me to get to know Me...Man says we have no time for You now -and God says OK Ill wait...

To those that still do not understand the Law of Allowance, please disregard.

Even those entities that have the knowledge of the universe understand that there is an energy that is greater than they are.

So with our direct link to this source we "pray"

Perhaps not on our knees, or in a church, or with our knowledge, but in our

own way. We learn to listen for our message from the source, God, or

whatever you want to call it.

Let your spirit be your guide.

SuperManny,

You said,"Of course I feel like a god! And why shouldn't I? The bible says I am one!!
"Ye are gods! Sons and Daughters of the Most High"
Psalms 82; 6
John 10; 34"

Sweaty, in Psalm 82:6 the word "gods" there refers to those jewish religious leaders known as the Pharisees. They act as gods. And Jesus confirms and explains what He was saying in the Psalms in his great argument against them in John 10:31-39.

The Mormons (one of the newest religions to have come on the seen) have been mis-using this passage to justify their belief that they can become gods.

Of course this is the very lie that Satan dooped Eve with in the Garden by saying she would surely not die if she ate the fruit but would rather become or become like God.

Now you know.

with Love,

Kelphi

Scooby,

You have to realize something. Its opposite day for most people around here.

And besides it like you said, the things of God are foolishness to them unless God opens their eyes. Here's the passage's you were talking about.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (New King James Version)
New King James Version (NKJV)

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

But yet this truth is arrogant like 2+2=4. I guess Albert Einstein was arrogant too.

All we can do is pray earnestly that God will give them the ability to stop suppressing the truth of God who has spoken and has clearly made Himself known.

Alexandra,

You said,

"Have you ever read the book of Job? This throws the theory of punishing only the bad guys out the window. Job was considered, by God, to be the most loyal follower of God. He did everything he was told. Look what happened to him. God and Satan went out to lunch and made some bets. God let Job suffer to win a bet. Hello.

Please rethink your statements and investigate what it is your selling."

God tests his subjects everyday. He puts them on display before Satan to see how stupid he was to intercept Gods praises. Satan is constantly petitioning God against His children and His children has and will forever prevail. This is exactly what the whole old testement is all about.

God used Job and other real people in the bible so you and I could have understanding into the things of God. So be careful what you reject. Keep reading.

God has provided a coloring book, easy to follow, illustration of His nature and the never ending love He has for his children in the old testement.

You need to keep reading my friend. Since you know a little about Job I'll tell you the rest of the story.

Job was considered righteous by God. This is big and it was proven by his faithfulness to God. God allowed Job to suffer yes but He also blessed him 10 fold. Not to mention that he got to hear God speak and reason directly to him personally. Job only questioned God but never once cursed Him while all of his friends spewed out their false theologies of God. And for this God graciously answered Job by asking him where he was when the universe was mapped out and if he knew the boundaries of the oceans and could he catch Leviathan (the first of two dinosaurs mentioned in the bible, mind you) with a hook, and did he know that God deprived the female ostrich of her wisdom and did not endow her with understanding.

Please read what the creator of the universe has spoken. God tells us many things about His creation and about Himself. Job is the most eloquent and oldest of all books. Universities are baffled of Jobs scientific explanations and marvel of its many literary styles. This is because the creator of the universe wrote it. And He wrote for you. How dare you down play it. You are undone. You should put your hand over your mouth.

In love,

Kelphi

Hello ...why not also tell how this story ends lol but first...

God allowed Satan to destroy but the life of Job!

Why did God not do this dirty work Himself...? -if not for God does not destroy the pious and righteous...!

why did Satan need permission from God to ruin Job...? -if not for Job was considered pious and righteous in the Eyes of God...!

why did God allow Satan to destroy a pious and righteous Job...? -if not for God was confident about Jobs unyielding piousness in the wake of disaster...!

And Job did not curse slip nor offend God in his the Dark Night of the Soul...!
God did speak to Job and affirmed Jobs pious and righteous attitude also in his midst of misery -and this incident aking to a Blessing in Disguise restored Jobs material world pluss won him direct communication and confirmation from God that he Job did well...!

Which stories and drama are the most fascinating and awe inspiring...?
Is it not the ones which include severe struggle and hardships but where still spiritual values like character honor and integrity perseveres against all odds...?
I think so : )

In my paradigm if you call out to the god of this universe you do indeed sometimes get miraculous results. However, even one step up from the god that created this universe is the energy source that gives birth to all current and new parallel universes. I have found that Wayne Dyers name of Source Energy for this consciousness is very effective for communication with this higher level.

To all those concerned that I have never studied religion or read the bible, I know the story of job like the back of my hand. I know what the book says. This is not the point I was trying to make. The point, in question, is how can an All loving god torture someone to prove a point? Was it worth it to Job to have all the material things once he passed? The object of that story was, to me mind you, that it is ok for God to be cruel to others but it is not ok for us to be that way. Well this to me is a crime. A loving God would never give permission to Satan, the tester by the way, to brutalize a person just to prove that that person would still be a loyal slave to god no matter what happened.

This is only my personal belief, it is not gospel to others.

I believe in a Creator, but not a mean one. One would hope that when one reaches the state of God awareness that they would have lost petty human traits such a jealousy, cruelty, ect.
