UFO enthusiasts call on Obama to release X-Files

UFO enthusiasts are pressing Barack Obama to release classified documents about sightings of alien spacecraft, encouraged by support from within the President-Elect's own White House team.

UFO enthusiasts say there has been a 'truth embargo'
Desperate to see the US emulate the British Government and disclose reported "contact" with UFOs, the enthusiasts have written to Mr Obama to ask that his administration comes clean about the contents of America's "X-Files".

They believe they have good prospects of success after public statements of support from both John Podesta, who is running Mr Obama's White House transition team, and Bill Richardson, the Governor of New Mexico - a UFO sighting hotspot - who is expected to secure a cabinet post.

In the letter to Mr Obama, the Extraterrestrial Phenomenon Political Action Committee calls on the President-Elect to "end the six-decade truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race".

The group wants the incoming president to insist on a "full briefing from your military services and intelligence agencies regarding what they know" and to open congressional hearings "to take testimony from scores of government witnesses who have already come forward with extraordinary evidence and are prepared to testify under oath."

The campaigners, who resent their common portrayal as nuts and conspiracy theorists, have high hopes of success due to their inside track with Mr Obama.

When he was the White House chief of staff under Bill Clinton, Mr Podesta led a project to declassify 800 million pages of intelligence documents. In a press conference, still available to watch on the YouTube website, Mr Podesta said: "It is time for the government to declassify records that are more than 25 years old and to provide scientists with data that will assist in determining the real nature of this phenomenon."

Gov Richardson, a former presidential candidate and fellow UFO aficionado, has written a forward to a book on the so-called Roswell Incident in New Mexico, where campaigners believe an alien spacecraft crash landed near the town of Roswell in 1947 and that the corpses of humanoid aliens have been kept hidden under lock and key by the government.

He has called for full disclosure by the Pentagon of what really occurred and reiterated his belief that there had been a "cover-up" during a presidential debate last year.

The campaigners, who want the truth "out there", believe that the British Government's decision to declassify thousands of UFO sighting documents this year has made it untenable for the US to maintain its policy of non-disclosure.

Only last week a US Air Force pilot, Milton Torres, whose testimony was released from the British archives, appeared on US television explaining how he was ordered to shoot down a large UFO over the UK in 1957 and then silenced by military officials, who told him never to speak of the incident.

Stephen Bassett, Executive Director of the Extraterrestrial Phenomenon Political Action Committee, expects to have gathered 40,000 signatures via email and fax by Mr Obama's inauguration day on Jan 20 in support of his calls for openness.

He told The Sunday Telegraph: "The truth embargo is now at the end of the line. The release of documents in Britain and France has put huge pressure on the US. It makes the government here look pretty stupid.

"I think we are seeing the Democrats moving towards disclosure. John Podesta has outed himself as an enthusiast. He thinks the American public can handle the truth. Bill Richardson thinks there was a cover-up."

Mr Bassett also believes that military and intelligence officials have studied the technology of alien spacecraft, material that would help the US develop new energy resources, as Mr Obama wishes, that will lessen US dependency on Middle Eastern oil.

A number of unusual photographs and videos have surfaced showing unusual orbs or discs either circling or flying past Obama rallies and events. Michael Luckman, a New York UFO researcher has compiled a list of these occurrences: One high quality video was filmed showing what appeared to be flying silver orbs at the October 4th Obama/Springsteen concert and rally, another UFO was filmed and seen by thousands in Colorado, a UFO was photographed at a Nevada rally and finally Orbs were photographed at Obama's Chicago victory rally.

This has led some Ufologists to speculate that Obama is being guarded by fleets or squadrons of UFO's. 'Being the nation’s first African-American presidential candidate for a major party initially and now the first African-American President-elect, soon to be President, there are many nutcases out there who would be feeling threatened' one expert commented. 'Sadly, this nation has a pretty racist past and the old Jim Crowe laws existed in the lifetimes of many still around today. The Ku Klux Klan is still active and the idea of a black man as President is obviously creating waves of shock amongst America's extreme racist fringe'.

Already a few attempts to assassinate the president have been foiled. 'Yep: sadly Obama is going to need that extra bit of protection. There are plenty of guns out there and some are in the hands of hard-core racists and white-supremacists.' our expert continued. many ufologists believe that Aliens find our petty racist squabbles primitive. 'If a civilisation has the technology to travel through vast distances of space, literally millions upon millions of miles it would probably have evolved to the point that such petty tribal rivalries have been long forgotten. Aliens probably would love to make themselves known to humanity but realise that we are simply too primitive to deal with them.' one Ufologist we interviewed commented. 'Our gut reaction would be to fire at them: that could be disastrous, if they can travel all the way to earth they could probably crush us as we could an ant'.
Nevertheless it is believed that some contact with aliens is taking place at the highest 'above top secret' levels. The previously hushed up Roswell incident came to light thanks to well known UFO researcher Stanton Friedman. Friedman claims that in July 1947 a UFO crashed near the Town of Roswell, New Mexico and Alien bodies, some still alive were retrieved and taken to a secret base known as 'Area-51' to be studied. The UFO is said to have been used in reverse-engineering projects. Since then a number of very high profile Americans and others have come forward and testified to US Government contact with alien visitors. The most recent being that of Edgar Mitchell, who was part of the Apollo 14 mission and the sixth man to walk on the moon. Other high profile acknowledgements of this phenomenon have come from the likes of former President Jimmy Carter and Paul Hellyer, Canada's one time defence minister.

Obama has made the interesting choice of naming John Podesta as a co-chairman of the Obama-Biden Transition Project. Podesta was the final Chief-of-Staff for Bill Clinton and is an avid believer in UFO's who has heavily campaigned for the intelligence community to make public what they know about the topic. 'Podesta knows more that he is giving away' a source with military ties assured us. Is John Podesta liaising with Aliens to keep Barack Obama safe? 'Aliens would truly be welcoming the election of Obama as a sign of our maturity and ability to lay down old prejudices. They might see this as an important step towards openly revealing their presence amongst us and letting humans take their place as a small part of a much larger universal civilisation. They would realise the dangers Obama faces and they would be working either with the government or of their own initiative to keep him safe and protect his well-being'. One thing we can be sure about is that if they were able to get here they definately have the technology to do so and for that we can be thankful.

The Extraterrestrial Phenomenon Political Action Committee has called on President-Elect Barack Obama to "end the six-decade truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race."

The Maryland group wants the incoming president to insist on a "full briefing from military services and intelligence agencies regarding what they know" and to open congressional hearings "to take testimony from scores of government witnesses who have already come forward with extraordinary evidence and are prepared to testify under oath."

The campaigners think Mr. Obama could lend a sympathetic ear to their plea for other-worldly transparency because of two people: John Podesta and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.

Mr. Podesta - former chief of staff in the Clinton White House and now chief of Mr. Obama's transition team - once led a project to declassify 800 million pages of intelligence documents. Mr. Richardson, who has contributed to a book on UFO sightings within his state, might also provide some sway.

Stephen Bassett, director of "X-PPAC," hopes to have 40,000 signatures from supporters ready for Mr. Obama by Inauguration Day.

"The truth embargo is now at the end of the line. The release of documents in Britain and France has put huge pressure on the U.S. It makes the government here look pretty stupid," he told the Sunday Daily Telegraph.

UFO enthusiasts have their own PAC. The Extraterrestrial Phenomenon Political Action Committee is gathering signatures in the days leading up to President-Elect Obama's inauguration in an effort to get the new President to disclose military "contacts" with UFOs. The EP PAC believes that it is time for the US to open the so called "X-Files" to the American public, following Britain's example last year.

The EP group are optimistic because John Podesta, head of President-elect Obama's White House transition team, has voiced his support for opening the files to the public.





Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico is another UFO aficionado who is expected to have a cabinet position in President-elect Obama's administration. With Podesta and Richardson on board, the EP group believes they have a chance at getting the so-called X-Files released to the public.

The term "X-Files" name originated with the popular television show of that name. The US Air Force is said to have investigated sightings and reports of UFOs from 1947 until 1969 under a project known as Project Blue Book. UFO enthusiasts believe that Project Blue Book was "just a low level collection and disinformation program created under Project Sign (of December 1947) which evolved into Project Grudge (of December 1948) to cover up the true investigation in to the alien presence on Earth."

Unidentified flying objects have long been the subject of controversial cover-ups and stir the imagination. There is a lot of interest in UFOs in the U.S. While it would be interesting to find out what is in Project Blue Book and the 'X-Files', President-elect Obama has a lot on his hands. With the worst financial crisis in 75 years, worries over the Iraq war, troubling terrorist threats around the world, a crumbling infrastructure and concerns over the health care of US citizens, the EP might not see results for some time to come.

We don't want the blue book facts we want the undisclosed info. such as the real stuff...alien races visiting earth and the space program,reversed engineered devices and alien species catalogues etc. (It's like an older bully of a brother(the govt.)) not sharing with us the knowledge of long lost cousins who are playing in the next door garden.

You really think the higher order wants us to know about our origin and higher technologies? HA send your letters, many have, none will succeed.

You might as well ask them to give up free energy technologies too. Because, if they would go public with any x-file it is only a matter of time before the curtain becomes unraveled. Oh you might want to ask Obama to give back our sovereignty too.

I don't want to put a bad vibe In these forums but people need to know our government is not here to help in anyway, only give the illusion and to get people to ask for bigger government.

Maybe if Ron Paul had a fair chance something may have changed, (but this is not the topic for that debate) wouldn't be too critical or he would end up like Kennedy.

Point is this the men behind the curtain killed far too many people to just say "hey F#<k it, I feel like giving up this empire and wanna become a farmer".

If they do give up the technologies, they still need to be tar, feathered and hanged.

[Exclusive] My interview with USAF Pilot Milton Torres and his encounter with a UFO

I have been following Milton Torres' media interviews since October 21, 2008 when the British Ministry of Defense (Defence at the U.K.) declassified Dr. Torres' 1957 UFO encounter while he was scrambled to destroy it.
