Red face Questions about fingernails - black lines

Hi,
I can't find any answers on a google search, and plenty of people have asked.

What is the cause of short, hair-like, verticle black lines in the nail beds?
Would be located on the thumbs and small pinkie toes, for some reasons. Not due to nail trauma.

Is this heavy metal? I have noticed that they have been improved, so far, with MMS.

Any input?

Thanks!

Do they look like little black splinters under the nail? If they do, go see your Dr because you need a check over - a professionals advice as they say.

below is one reply from someone also:

Pretty sure this is nail fungus. I had it diagnosed by an MD. Looks like tiny black lines near the end of some toe nails, though I've gotten a little on finger nails before too. It makes sense if it's related to your immune system being weak.

The MD said there's no way for a topical treatment to get to the fungus (under the nail), but the prescription med's are pretty toxic and taken orally which means the effect is system-wide, not just nail-specific. I read some impressive accounts online of using teatree oil to combat the fungus and it worked for me too. I apply it twice daily, at the edge of the nail, and a little on top too. If you are using nail clippers, the fungus can spread to other nails, so it's best to apply the teatree to all nails, not just the ones with visible problems.

Yes, splinters, but they have gone away.

All my blood levels and tests are negative for anything. What are you thinking, Egg? I have several clients with these.

I can say that fungus has been ruled out.

Yes, I thought maybe metals...bc they are black. from the dermatology pics, etc. on the web, it isn't consistent with hutchinsons or cancer.

I took Zeolite powder and liquid for over a month, and am taking MMS now.
I also did a heavy metal cleanse with cilantro, chlorella, etc.

thanks
