at least when you are single...
there are NO restrictions,
about whom, you can mingle with

being tied down the wrong person...
can be a big drag,
isn't a wedding ring, the smallest handcuff in the world ???

For many people,
they think, you get married to have sex,
and, then, they find out, after the "i do's"...

YOU DO NOT !!! :lol:

PURR-haps, that is why we are happy !!!

Another person, simply holds the potential, to make you happier !!!

The best part of being single - is,
that NO ONE understands why you are single

in 2048, on my 90th birthday - it's a maybe !!!

i am the oldest NON married person, in my family...
and, i think, i am, the only one, who has NEVER married
(ahhh...i have one younger cousin, who is about 40ish,
and, he has NEVER married either)
he is cute, and, quite reserved and shy

Like me !!! (believe it, or NOT, the eXchanger, has a shy side)

at the cost of a wedding today,
that generally lasts about 2-5 years,
you can buy a house - crazy what some people will pay, to get married

Being single has many advantages, but I can't help thinking it would be great to share them with someone

do you think meyers briggs test - help you to identify your strengths ???

i was an i N T J, when i was really young
they term that one, a master_mind
but, i now developed into

a slightly i / and, a slighty E
N
T
(don't think you can change those two, for something else)

and, j/p is balanced at 50/50

so, i am an * N T *

is there hope for me ???

i am still verifying potential candidates
so, that means, i am, still,
in the running, and,
in the positive pole of a spiritualist...

if i had faith, they eXist, i would be in the negative pole

and, i do NOT think, that is where, i want to be !!!

also, if you think about it,
doesn't the charm of faith, hope, and, charity --
have an anchor in it, i wonder, what the anchor is all about !!!

if you go out intentionally fishing for one,
often you find
  1. a hook, a line, and, a stinker !!!

sooner or later, i will find,

a hook, line, and, NO STINKER !!!

i think, they are called KEEPERs

Geez....I thought this thread was started for singles who would like to meet each other for a potential partnership. So far, it appears that some who post on here are quite happy being single. Why then do they keep posting on and on about how happy they are, & trying to convince the rest of us, that there must be something wrong with us if we are seeking a partner.

Perhaps they should start their own own thread, where they can espouse the benefits of singledom.

waiting in the wings,
maybe, you should be waiting in The Pivot

my purpose, of enjoying being single,
is, so that i might have twice as much fun,
if i meet someone special

however, i think, first, it is necessary, to love thy self

and, then, a person would be ready !!!

Good point.... You cannot love anybody fully until you are stisfied being by yourself....

Since I am posting I will say that I am single and I enjoy the freedom but I would love to meet someone who was a little more likeminded...

I live in a small Wyoming town where it is very rural and dominated by the typical male attitude. I have had 4 pretty serious relationships but most of them were based on external attraction rather than internal.. Not saying I didnt love them but I feel like the only reason we started talking was because they were beautiful girls. Either way, it didnt work out and they all moved away.

I am 24 male

Gemini

I would rather be around someone who enjoys cutting loose... I love music and spend most of my time in the summer traveling around and hitting up music festivals.

Hi eXchanger,I don't know to use quote.I'm refering to your Myers-briggs test.You are revealing a lot of yourself.I think you have a lot of guts to do that.I decided to do the same thing:INFP.That may explain my attitude.

Yes I would agree with this because before I awakened spiritually I was needy and dependant on others whereas now I am able to embrace and enjoy being alone. However I'm open to the possibility of meeting a like minded person and continuing on my life journey with a co pilot.

I really have gone through the same process but sometimes it does seem like one is utterly stuck when alone. Having an opposite doesn't only give more energy but also the checks that, if no one is there to mirror you actively, you have to run (or let run) them passively. Meaning it's much harder to engage with the 'harsh truth' as one must humbly observe the world around one, while a partner usually slams it in your face.

I for once, like the slamming and can be more humble because of that.
Where was that thread for single sexual spiritual development?

(Oh oh, Kathleen, you wanted to end the rambling on why, yet your statement clicked with three more people that now ramble.)

I have always been single and probably always will. Doesn't mean I want to. Just the way it has happened for me, and I accept that. I have a lot of wonderful and very close friends. Just not getting sex anymore.......
We all adjust.........

ahh- you are, what you are, and, why hide it LOL

i turn 29, every year, and,
i just had my 22nd -29th birthday
at the end of 2008

i think, that is a secret, to staying young,
is, thinking young

i still feel, 29, but, probably look 35ish

another trick, is this...

i get up, and, i eXpect to have a good day
& generally, that is eXactly what happens

NO one believes, i am 50 -- which is good

and, everyone thinks,
that there are 101 other men hiding out, in my closets
which is sadly, NOT the truth

however, sometimes, i think, you have to reach this age
before, you really know, what it is, that you want

as, an i.n.f.p.,
you are one,
who feels things deep, and, are a perceptive one
your type of gal/or guy,
you run very deep,
however, you need an assortment
of picks and shovels, in order to get at your deepest thoughts,
and, get them out of you !!!

they are also, the silent, and, very strong type
and, are NOT likely once committed to something,
highly unlikely to ever stray

also, since, they are so perceptive,
it is NOT only very hard to pull any wool over their eyes,
it is virtually almost impossible, to do that
(that's a double LOL)

they know, they just seem to know things,
infp's are interesting people,
i know, as, an intj - we can appear, to be slightly aloof,
and, cool, but, that isn't the truth, we run quite deep too

anyway...it appears, discussing M/B's might spice up the chat a little

Default Re: Avalon Singles

i did that test , and, honestly answered the questions
(for a job interview, as, a master_mind, i could tweak the test, a little)
& it would show me, to be an entj, but, the real truth is, i am an definitely an iNTj
Your Type is INTJ
Introverted 33
Intuitive 38
Thinking 62
Judging 11

Qualitative analysis of your type formula

You are:
* moderately expressed introvert
* moderately expressed intuitive personality
* distinctively expressed thinking personality
* slightly expressed judging personality

that is a good test, as, it also tells you what careers, etc., would be good for you

also, you could maybe figure out, who you have been, in a past life

however, askahic records, are, much easier to tap into , earth ones, or galatic ones

there is some good info online http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTJ - less than 1% of the population is intj - or master_minds

Masterminds are introspective, pragmatic, directive, and attentive. They tend to be capable leaders, skilled in contingency planning and entailment organizing, which are directive activities that tell the planner what activities to do and in what order to do them. Despite their leadership capabilities, Masterminds prefer to stay in the background until others demonstrate ineffective leadership. However, once in a position of power, Masterminds are known for their efficiency and willingness to adopt useful ideas.

Masterminds are strong willed, self confident, and decisive. They are also highly theoretical and the most open-minded of the 16 role variants. Before Masterminds adopt a theoretical notion, they insist on researching all the available data and checking the idea against reality. Masterminds are suspicious of theories based on poor research and will discard ideas that cannot be effectively implemented.

Masterminds are highly pragmatic, and they will put forth a great deal of time and effort to implement effective ideas. They are driven to solve complex problems and to create organized, decided, and executed solutions. Masterminds tend to make positive statements instead of negative ones, focusing on how to make the organization more efficient in the future rather than dwelling on past mistakes.

[edit] Notable Masterminds

For illustrative purposes, Keirsey and his son, David M. Keirsey,[2] have identified well-known individuals whose behavior is consistent with a specific type. Unless otherwise noted, the categorization of the individuals below, whether living or dead,
as Masterminds is a matter of expert opinion rather than the result of actual testing of the named individual.

* Isaac Asimov[3]
* Niels Bohr[1]
* William F. Buckley[3]
* Dwight D. Eisenhower[1]
* Ulysses S. Grant[1]
* Stephen Hawking[1]
* John Maynard Keynes[1]
* Lise Meitner[1]
* Isaac Newton[1]
* Friedrich Nietzsche[1]
* Peter the Great[1]
* Ayn Rand[1]
