Earth's Magnetic Field & space travel....
Hello,
thought this was quite interesting.. on BBC News.. also, I noted the comments about space travel to the moon in the text below the short video clip... e.g. "The super-fast charged particles that stream away from the Sun pose a significant threat to any long-duration mission, such as to the Moon or Mars.... [...] .... International space agencies acknowledge that astronauts face a significant risk of ill health and even death if they experience major exposure to this harsh environment. And even the spacecraft themselves are not immune to the effects...." .. made me wonder a bit .. what do you folks think? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7706844.stm |

They should create a kind of Big Brother TV show, but on a spaceship in a one-way trip towards Mars.
This would be the best reality show ever. Survivor on space! |
