Re: The wonders of Nature
rhythm,
I rely on my daily walk to keep my morale intact. It is autumn where I live and this is my favorite season. I love watching the leaves turn and I love crisp, cool days. This morning the birds were having an especially animated conversation! On TV, the only show I watch is HD Theater's "Sunrise Earth." TV is second best to the real thing, but honestly the nature I can see there, from all over the world, is well worth the time spent. There is no talking on this show. Just the sights and sounds of nature. Always, when I watch that show, I find my breathing changes. I relax. |

Re: The wonders of Nature
I really appreciate this thread . It is calming to contemplate Creation. I will share to you an experience I had at 24 years old.
It happened just before I left for Brazil. I was leaving my country for a period of 4 years. I was in a goodbye state of mind in the shore of my homeland lake. A valley of old mountains covered with conifers and hardwood embrace a long lake with many rivers and wild life. I'm sitting on a large rock in a small cove looking at the stars and talking to Creation. The emotion I felt was increased by my imminent departure. As I was throwing my thoughts out to the Universe, I began to see things around me very differently. The foliage dancing in the wind was suddenly alive. I could see its "heart beat". All its cells vibrating like when you look through the horizon blur when the heat of the sun hits the ground. The waves caressing the shore, the twinkling stars casting their lights in the water, the rocks lied down as fingers and hands holding together the surface. All was suddenly conscious, observing, intelligent, caring, understanding, loving. The emotion was so strong I was thinking "It shows itself to me... Oh man, I'm seeing with my own eyes that all is very alive and conscious". I could see the molecule moving and observing me, sending me the thought, "we are alive and conscious"... "We are made of you, you are made of us"... "All, we are part of Existence and it is a wonderful gift"... "You are never alone"... I understood: All rocks, all trees, all bees , it is all One and I'm part of it, united to the core of Creation by Love itself. Because Love is what I was feeling so powerfully coming in from all these beings of Nature, coming out from deep in my heart back to all of them. "You do not have to worry, Love is what maintain All into Existence"... "Love is what brought you into Existence"... "As long as you remember this at each breathing, you have nothing to worry". I will never forget this. This experience alone opened up a dimension of understanding so profound, many things became clearer. I see Nature as a living being made of a myriad of living sentient beings. I talk to Earth, the trees, the rocks, all simple little things of Nature, and it makes me feel connected. It is such a wonderful World, so calming to contemplate... Namaste, Steven Last edited by Steven; 11-07-2009 at 03:41 AM. |
