The new sherlock holmes loaded with symbols
I just returned home from seeing the new movie Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. What a plethora of occult symbols! It was like watching a Jordan Maxwell and Michael Tsarion lecture on the Internet. And the writers were so blatant about it. No words were minced in the screenplay. Did anyone else notice this?

Re: The new sherlock holmes loaded with symbols
The main thing that seemed out of sync with the film's outpouring of information was making the house of lords seem innocent and ignorant of what goes on, yes they have their levels but they're involved. It's loaded with secret society symbology e.g. freemason, which itself is lifted and in tribute to other ancient systems, but of course they have to give a twist in the end and say it was all down to chemistry (that we already know of) to give the film some credibility in the public eye and go fully on the supernatural path.
Otherwise the film was surprisingly good and rich in scenery/atmosphere and I think the personalities were actually truer to the characters in comparison to other film adaptations - which is strange seeing as this was supposed to be an 'unusual' take on the characters and as much as I liked Basil Rathbone's version for example, this film captured them better. |
