"New Capitalism"
The BBC have just done a feature on the news at 10. It was very interesting. It was all about a "New Capitalism" where business and government are hand-in-hand (paraphrasing here obvioulsly).
I'm not a financial or political expert, and as a result I'm a little bit confused. I did history in school and at college and I'm sure I came across that mixture before, only it was called something different. What was it now? ... Oh YEAH, got it. I remember. It was called... FASCISM! So then I guess what we really have is the BBC, aided and abetted by politicians including Recently-Returned-From-Brussels-Just-In-Time-To-Oversee-The-Planned-Economic-*ahem*-"Disaster"-Lord-Mandelson, is a redefining of the language in order to hide what's actually happening. Same **** different day. Last edited by Steve_G; 12-20-2008 at 10:02 AM. |

Re: "New Capitalism"
I believe Mussolini had a relevant quote about fascism in regards to corporations and government.
