Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
Hey, Rocky,
Seems like nasa is starting to release little tidbits of info lately... stuff that they would've heavily censored in the not to distant past. I wonder when they're going to tell us that Mars' sky is really blue! |

See the thing is... NASA has THREE channels 1) for the Sheeple that will buy anything 2) for Serious researchers that know where to look 3) for the DoD and NO ONE sees that stuff Now on channel #1 you get dark red skys and rocks... little light... in general not a pretty picture... But on channel #2 you get this... And you get a closeup of the famous Blueberries... so you can see WHY they called them Blueberries in the first place And you can see the sulphur and salt deposits that Spirit dug up And don't forget the closeups of the rocks... Vesicular Basalt or Scoria.. Here it is on Mars... Here is a specimen from Earth in my collection Here is another one on Mars so you can compare the color Yes Alice the skies ARE blue on Mars... unless there is a dust storm... This was shown to us by the Viking Lander Yes it snows on Mars... that was shown by the Viking Lander in 1976... 32 years ago (top of post) Yes there are clouds on Mars And yes their are MARTIANS on Mars... and they are not pleased |

Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
hmmmm, so if they do have a stargate to mars, is it possible as our oceans are rising they are allowing them to just pour through the stargate?

Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
ICE??
Like as in frozen lakes? As in the North Pole on Mars? The thing I always fine amusing (read sickening) in NASA(Need Another Space Agency) press releases is they tend to make people think its something new... Yet the ESA (European Space Agency) showed us this in AUGUST 2005 Water Ice Lake in a crater with snow on the rim... |

Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
Now Viking already showed us the Martian Temperature...
Atmospheric temperatures are the featured Pathfinder meteorological observations and the temperatures encountered at the surface of Earth and Mars provide the primary basis for these developments. The temperatures on the two Viking landers, measured at 1.5 meters above the surface, range from + 1° F, ( -17.2° C) to -178° F (-107° C). However, the temperature of the surface at the winter polar caps drop to -225° F, (-143° C) while the warmest soil occasionally reaches +81° F (27° C) as estimated from Viking Orbiter Infrared Thermal Mapper. The diurnal cycle of atmospheric temperature is as important meteorologically as it is on Earth, but it is less important in other contexts: the reason will become evident in the lessons that follow. The diurnal temperature variation at Viking Lander 1 at the same season as Pathfinder is landing is illustrated here and described below. http://www-k12.atmos.washington.edu/..._overview.html Plus 81 degrees fahrenheit... sounds downright balmy So what happens when you mix known water ice with known temperature of PLUS 81 degrees F??? |

Upper left corner of the lake in your version...
Did anyone notice the row of round objects along the shore... equally spaced? Here is the 'summerized' version Last edited by zorgon; 10-02-2008 at 10:55 PM. |

Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
Here's another snow photo from the NASA Rover, very very recent. As you know it's winter there now. This photo is too large for the album. If it's a problem, I'll move it or remove it.

Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
Do you realize the vertical scale of that photo is 1024/824, NOT 1024/1024?
Also, when you see it in correct scale and you know it's correct scale because the human shows up in reasonable proportion -- and remove all color -- you have WHITE SNOW lying all over the ground. If the ground were actually a red color, it would show up as DARK grey on black-and-white, right? Right. And when you see and identify the woman's figure standing there, you realize, she's standing next to a snow-plowed road, with other people behind her. Next, you notice, she's walking past the huge heads of dormant, hibernating serpents encased in snow. I wouldn't know this except that serpents, snakes, dragons, vipers are a primary motif that shows up in most of NASA's photos. What I'm hoping is that someone from NASA will explain to me, why the explanations get so garbled when it's so simple to address the photographic elements and see what's real, in the photos, in the first place. Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
All you great Guys, thank you for the continued photos.
So spectacular!!!! Does anyone know where that human figure came from?...isn't it cold or freezing there right now? She wasn't wearing worn clothing from what I could see. Unless they're warm blooded. So much out there So much to learn So much we would love to be part of in the knowing We owe it you for coming forth and educating some of us Thank you and God bless ISIS |

Re: Snowing on Mars!!!
I'm still combing through the NASA databases. I'll continue to see what else I can find that is purely educational.
Glad somebody finds this stuff interesting, besides myself. : ) Shech-- |
