Star with small stars behind
Ok all, Dont shoot me for this one, but I am just wondering if anyone in the south uk has a telescope, I have been watching this star for a week or so, simply because I did not see it there before.
Now I only have binoculars but can see the star as an out of shape thingy with a trail of stars like a tail behind it. i say out of shape because if i look at another star it appears fully round 181Degs south by 28degs azimuth Just be interesting is all. Donny |

Re: Star with small stars behind
Donny sounds like it could be Jupiter with its moons that you are seeing. Its too cloudy here in wales as usual so i looked at a star map for tonight and it shows to be above horizon in a near southerly position.
Just best guess. |
