Default God 'will not give happy ending' - Archbishop of Canterbury

Quote:
Speaking on Wednesday he said just as God gave humans free will to do "immeasurable damage" to themselves as individuals it seemed "clear" they had the same "terrible freedom" as a human race.

God will not intervene to prevent humanity from wreaking disastrous damage to the environment, the Archbishop of Canterbury has warned.

God cannot intervene, we the collective, are god. The only way god could interven, is for this "segment" of god (we the collective) to get our acts together. How long will we tolerate abuse? We must enjoy it because not only do we put up with it, we encourage it. How so? By buying the corporate products, by using their cellular telephones at our own peril. By allowing ourselves to be brainwashed in our blissful ignorance. No one says we HAVE to believe the tripe that is dished up, we choose to do so.

Nobody says we HAVE to put up with bankers who rob us blind, put us in the gutter and then rob us again, we choose to allow this to happen. Our massed silence is in and of itself complicity to what is happening. Why have we not gone in mass protest to our various governments and let them understand in no uncertain terms that they cannot give trillions in taxpayers money away? Taxed income is OUR money, not theirs to do with as they please.

Have we forgotten already that it is US who make our reality? Have we forgotten what it is we are here for? Oh how easy to log on and read the clever info supplied by a few because we are already so brain dead that there is nary an original thought that crosses our brains anymore. It is all far too easy to offer up a seemingly lucid response to what others have to say and then sit back and wait for the pats on the back for being oh so clever, insightful and , dare I say, spiritual.

Dr Rowan cont....
In a lecture, Dr Rowan Williams urged a "radical change of heart" to prevent runaway climate change.

At York Minster he said humanity should turn away from the selfishness and greed that leads it to ignore its interdependence with the natural world.

It is not often that I agree with a man of the cloth, until he speaks truth. Whether we agree or not on the cause of climate change, there is one thing we have to agree on, and that is the massed rape of the planet due to our effrontery, our greed, our spite, our hate and our total indifference to all around us. We fail, dismally, to understand that each and every action taken by every single individual on the planet (remember that thought is also action so do not feel exonerated if you are only contrary in thought as this too is action.

How many times have you gone to do your purchases and used plastic carrier bags? How many times have you "traded up" a perfectly good vehicle just because the old one is "oh so last year"? How many times have you bought a product contained in plastic when there is an alternate and equally as good one, packaged in glass, paper or cardboard? Have we sold ourselves so short that we have to do everything that the ads tell us to?

I need to ask what has become of self. All I see are products with glazed eyes roaming the streets looking for their next shiny "treat". Our kids are out of control because we sell them short too. We are so quick to point the finger at them for their dismal lack of respect but we don't take a few minutes to build them up. We leave that to the schools and we ALL know what a fantastic job they are doing don't we.

No, there will be no soft landing for us by the hand of a loving god because we deserve evry inch of the rod that will be applied to our backs in retribution for both our actions and inaction.

We have lost all self respect and expect others to respect us! What a joke. We behave like total lunatics and expect the young generation to be better than they are?

My dear brothers and sisters, just as the clothes you wear are a reflection of what we are so to is the condition of our dear diseased planet a reflection of WHAT we are. Very VERY sick people, who need to wake up, take our medicine and unite in love.

If we do not do this and do it with IMMEDIATE effect, we are lost. I do not care if you spend 24 hours a day in high meditation, you are not doing what is required, and what is required right now is that we love as we have never loved before. We HAVE to be beacons of light IN ACTION, not hidden away. IT HAS TO BE SEEN to be perpetuated by others.

In Love
