Lemonade fast works too. You're dealing with inflamation and your body needs to detox.

Hi,

There's probably a lot of different things that you can do. From my knowledge of chi kung, joints normally become arthritic with age when the energy flow through the joints starts getting blocked, so any energy circulation exercise is good and can be used as a preventitive. So practice on a daily basis would improve your health.

You didn't mention if you cleared the parasitic problem. You have to make sure that your system is clear of parasites and you are taking the proper nutrition, this is always the first step to basic health. Other peoplee here could probably be knowledgable here.

I use Cherry SYRUP! Not juice.
It is very thick and you can get it at the Farmer's Market in quart containers.

A couple of tablespoons a day will do the trick.
It takes some time before it works though...
Couple of weeks I believe...

I forgot as to how it works...My wife just told me to DO IT! hehe!

What can be done about arthritis? (Circulation formula)

Ginger
Ginger is a fantastic herb. It has been used for the treatment of many aliments. Studies show it is very beneficial in relieving arthritis. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a well know arthritis treatment.

Ginger contains zingibain, a special proteolytic* enzyme. Research shows that proteolytic enzymes have anti-inflammatory properties. Taken as a tincture, capsule, as a tea or fresh, it does not have any reported side effects to high dosages. A dish prepared with ginger will actually give you a medicinal dose of the herb.

*proteolytic: the hydrolysis of proteins into simpler compounds by the action of enzymes.

Cayenne
Cayenne Pepper or Red Pepper ( Capsicum frutescens ) is another wonderful herb, with a wide range of medical properties to heal the body. Considered one of the best local and circulatory stimulants, cayenne may be used externally for poor circulation, unbroken chilblains and pains associated with arthritis and lumbago Capsicum creams are readily available or you can add a few drops of cayenne tincture to an ointment. If you do add to a cream, use sparingly at first gradually increasing the dosage.

Cayenne can be very hot and some people are sensitive. So test it first. Taken internally cayenne stimulates the heart, regulating the blood flow and strengthening the arteries and capillaries. Cayenne also contains capsaicin, a pain-relieving chemical. This also triggers the body to release endorphins, natures own opiates. Take cayenne as a tincture for fast acting absorption, and include the spice in your food.

Garlic and Ginkgo Biloba
Both garlic and ginkgo biloba have been shown to help with circulation and improve blood flow. This is important where arthritis is concerned. You have to try to improve your circulation. This will help bring oxygen to the affected area and take away harmful deposits which have built up.

All of these herbs may help. We have produced a special formula which includes all four of these herbs: ginger, cayenne, garlic and ginkgo biloba. You can see more information about the circulation formula here (click).

Other things which may help:
Bromelain a proteclytic enzyme present in pineapples helps prevent inflammation. Bromelain helps the body get rid if immune antigen complex compounds that are inflicted in some arthritic conditions In addition to zingibain and bromelain there are other proteclytic enzymes that have similar effects. Kiwifruit, paw paw and figs are excellent sources. Calcium is always needed by the body and especially to aid in the prevention of osteoporosis.

Food and herbs high in calcium are : Alfalfa, Liquorice, Red clover shoots, Camomile, Chives, Coltsfoot, Dandelion, Horsetail, Meadowsweet, Nettle, Plantain, Watercress, Cabbage, Thyme and basil.

Devils Claw a tuber found in South Africa contains a glycoside called harpagoside that helps to reduce inflammation in joints. Best taken in the tincture form especially for inflamed joints. Also good for itchy skin with no obvious cause. One caution, this herb should be avoided during pregnancy.

Additional herbs that will assist in treating arthritis are: Turmeric, Willow a natural pain killer, Liquorice which has anti-inflammatory qualities, rosemary, oregano, basil, camphor, celery seed, meadowsweet.

Stinging Nettles have been used for thousands of years!
Nature provides us with many plants that will aid in the relieving of joint pain. The most radical and perhaps the most daunting is Stinging Nettles. It is called urtication - from nettles botanical name, Utrica dioica- and dates back to the biblical times. Quiet simply the plant is grasped in a gloved hand and the stiff, swollen joint is swatted, thrashed with the sting. Urtication often provides considerable relief. The tiny stingers of the nettle plant actually provide microinjections of several chemicals, one of which is histamine.

The theory is, these chemicals, as well as causing the sting, trigger anti-inflammatory action by the body and so relieve arthritis. This is an ancient folklore, that seems to work for many people all over the world. Nettles grow in may countries and in each stinging nettles has developed a reputation as a treatment for arthritis. For the less adventurous of us, a fresh nettle tea or eating nettles will offer the same long term benefits. Gently steam the young tender leaves, and enjoy as a vegetable. They do lose the stinging effect when cooked!

Sorry to differ on this one point. One wants to use real Maple syrup grade B or C as sugar or honey makes the glucose levels rise up and down.

I've never heard of the cherry syrup. What an excellent tip OD.

Yer Welcome but. do not thank me...Thank Mrs Dood.

She is the brains of this outfit.
I tease her a lot but, in truth my wife is really bright and commited to health care.
She will not stand for any of her 'Sisters' (Fellow Nurses) to whine, complain or make excuses.
She has a heart of gold with a Nurse Rachet attitude. hehe!

Hi

I recommend finding a Functional Medicine specialist in your area. It is a growing paradigm. A bright light. It's better than Bing Cherries for the Gout!
www.functionalmedicine.org and find a practitioner! They are chiros (like me), medical doctors, osteopaths, etc.
I have not seen you or tested you, therefore, I cannot just give blind advice.

ahh, my thoughts were running "raw"

it's old dood's fault, he distracted me

YOU are absolutely right

real maple syrup
(and, i am from canada-so shame on me)
and, i even know how to tap a tree
and, make maple syrup, the real old fashioned way,
over a fire, in the maple grove,
in about 2-3 feet of snow

i have to confess...
i was thinking about "sugar in the raw"
(and, it was more of a humourous addition)
to my post, and, NOT an actual "hard truth"

although "sugar in the raw"
is way better than "white sugar"
and, "brown sugar" is better than white sugar
(although, i have NOT fully tested that theory)

i've heard, that nothing on earth,
beats having a good "old dood"
to share it with

i'll bring 3 glasses...and, bring your wife too ,
that woman, i am sure, will teach me lessons

I forgot to mention that your situation sounds a lot like Lyme's disease. It can look like ring worm with swelling and very unusual symptoms. I still advise the functional med specialist.
Were you diagnosed properly?
Hope you find relief.

Tumeric powder in your food may help a bit.

Find a SCENAR (ACUSCEN model for example) if you can afford one.
I will guide you on the use of it if you decide to go this route..

Food allergies? try variations in diet (milk, chocolate, peanuts, wheat, etc.)

Massage help maybe?

How is your living situation and/or your emotional/environmental stressors?

Or the now FAMOUS vitamin D3 cure all may help (geez - hope im not becoming another one of those people who push cure-alls)

Magnesium, Folic acid, Boron, Malic acid, Calcium mix?
i.e. Viridian Brand - Calcium, Magnesium with Boron Powder.

Hot soaks in EPSON salts? (Magnesium)

Do you like to eat Salmon? If so.... eat eat eat some oily Fresh Salmon

Lots of people here to help with ideas.

i wish for You quick healing and No more pain ASAP.

I concur with Mr Deacon. Turmeric powder is good for anti-inflammation. Also cooking with ginger, olive oil and garlic. All of these have anti-inflammatory properties in them.

Check out EDTA
it binds to heavy metals (mainly lead) and calcium

http://www.drcranton.com/edtabib.htm
http://naturalanswer.com/edta_benefits_and_uses.htm
it has been used to treat arthritis and calcium deposits in arteries...

Check http://www.ch3nutrigenomics.com/phpBB2/welcome.html for EDTA protocols

Houman

PS: Don't use EDTA if you have dental amalgams (mercury)
