Default Burning Man

I see that this hasn't been brought up yet, and I was wondering if anyone is going this year? My partner and I are going, being we are both fire performers, and its going to be our first burn down at Black Rock City, Nevada.

The theme this year is evolution and from the way I am seeing it, this festival is going to be one of the largest focuses of consciousness on the entire planet for that week (Aug 31st - Sept 7th). 50,000 people participating in beauty.

An interesting side note, the number one topic at the moment on the Burning Man tribe forum is Burners for 9/11 Truth.

Also after the festival, I am going hiking and camping, bumming it as some may say (as we are flying in one way from Maine). We have a full set of hiking gear. Most likely going to Northern Cali and Oregon, then Arizona after (Grand Canyon, Sedona, & Phoenix is the plan). My partner has family in Los Angeles and Guatemala so there is even a chance we may end up in that vicinity. I'm hoping that along the way I may meet some beautiful open minds like your very self (aka couches to crash on haha). In all honesty, we are sticking to our intuition and love, and are really just going where the moment leads us.

Be free. Namaste.

Two of my sons just left tonight to set up camp..for yet another experience
They leave a week before to set up..they have a large camp there

Look for the "Mystical Misfits Camp" It will be a high towering camp there well lit up...the kids in that camp are all performers here in LA, and a great group...you'll want to meet them...trust me on that...lot's of fire POI also...John..my son also skydives there..
My son John will be setting up that camp...Tell them Brook..."mom" sent you
Enjoy yourself..and have a great burn
Brook

Here is the camp my son and his friends set up one year

I have been wanting to make it to Burning man for years now, but I can never afford it. Now that I am on the west coast though it is at least a little more feasible. Hopefully next year I can make it. I have friends that go every year, some as performers, and have heard nothing but rave reviews. Be safe and have a wonderful experience.

Don't let life pass you by...go if you can...I did..and I have no regrets. It was at a time when I really could not go either....but I just did.

Cool...I promise you ...you will have a good time at their camp..great people..with like minds

You will not have a hard time finding their camp..it is usually a couple of stories high, and can be seen quite well. Well lit as well..my son is a lighting expert in the movie industry...and has his own company.

I will mention that it can be quite overwhelming when you get there..and if you intend on participation in the fire circle with the other performers..you will want to contact them ahead..when you first get there...It's not something you want to wait at the last minute for....if you do get hold of John..he will explain how to go about it.

They are on the road right now..and I just contacted them..so they will be looking for you

There should be information in the program when you get there as well

Have a GREAT BURN

John just called me back and said his address there is 4:30 and Biology...it will be a very tall camp..can't miss it

Said you are very welcome there..and looks foreward to meeting you...there are 80 people in their camp alone. And he said that the load they carry right now is huge for the set up..two huge stake bed trucks to carry the stuff

Again, thanks Brook. I greatly appreciate it. My gf and I are first timers from Maine so I could see it being a little overwhelming but its sorta what we've been looking for haha. I've been taking caring of her for part of the summer as she had mono, so we're really looking to get back out into the real world, even though the past couple months we have experienced alot of unqiue and interesting experiences together.

You and your gf will have a wonderful time...be assured of that
So set up your camp..and go exploring...you will be welcome where ever you go

Have a great time on the Playa ..enjoy the art...and commune with the artists...it a great time for all

And drink plenty of water..even when you are not thirsty...very important...or you will spend the day feeling sick. Make sure your gf drinks plenty too..especially after being ill.

Bring a lot of sunblock lotion, especially if you go "full monty". Your "never-tanned-areas" wouldn't like to be burned.

Well...haven't heard a word from anybody there...however...on Saturday they burned the man

Then yesterday they burned the Temple of dreams...that is a very moving one...as everyone there puts a memorial or a dream on a piece of wood..an then they have a burning ceremony

Here is a beautiful picture of the Temple of Dreams when I was there

The kids should be back by Wednesday with pictures and I will share...and I'll see if Grigorarturo made it to their camp
