market crash
Wall Street was in turmoil tonight as Merrill Lynch rushed to find shelter in a $35bn-plus takeover by Bank of America and Lehman Brothers appeared to be running out of options to save itself from becoming the biggest victim yet of the credit crunch. The moves cap a weekend of high drama which could lead to one of the most radical reshapings in the history of the financial district.

Re: market crash
Here in North Carolina, Wachovia is a key piece of the economic foundation. Nearly one third the people in my neighborhood work there, so it's will get pretty crazy soon if that bank goes under.
It's amazing when I talk with people how they still have no idea what is going on...... |

Re: market crash
All the financial web sites are on death watch tonight for Lehman.
All we can do is let our family and friends know to prepare. Some positive intention would not hurt also. |
