Note of Appreciation for the Moderators
Hello All,
I wanted to take a moment to thank the moderators for what they do, when they find the time to do it, and why they do it. It is a job like many across the planet which all of us have experienced at one point or another where our hard work and commitment goes unnoticed or under-appreciated. There's been an occassion or two where I have personally disagreed with the moderators intervention and the premise for why it was done. However, we all have to keep this forum, the moderators, and our own actions in perspective. Most forums don't have moderation, yet alone a moderator, and most of the Avalon/Camelot moderators (depending upon their personal experience and/or knowledge base) will research the information posted on this forum to help ensure that more facts and less fiction is allowed to emanate from the Avalon and Camelot threads. Now, when you add to that plate, the number of newly volunteered Moderators and the influx of members, due to the long awaited removal of subscription. It will indeed be a bit bumpy for all of us. Everyone does not have the idea interpersonal skills to put on display via their posts, rather it's a moderator or member. We all have to be able to absorb the best and the worst of each other to achieve a common result of cooperation and union. Each of us should evaluate our posts before submitting by re-reading them to see if it requires us to filter out frustrations or emotions in overdrive. At the same time, we should be able to control our reactions to such postings once they surface. With out a doubt, there will be a healthy bumping of heads here, but we have moderators to help prevent these from becoming headaches. So, with that stated...A Note of Appreciation to the Moderators!!! Now, let us all continue on our journey during these interesting and challenging times on our planet. It would be best and most beneficial for all of us to do so. gscraig |

Re: Note of Appreciation for the Moderators
The mods do a great job and they are all volunteer. I say that if you don't like the way a volunteer helps then don't let the door hit you in the ass. (ambiguous reference)

Re: Note of Appreciation for the Moderators
Agreed thanks for the thread. I was actually going to PM Anchor and thank him for putting up with so much flack from a few angry people, just to let him (and the other mods know) that I do appreciate all the time they are putting into avalon.
They are brave souls. |

I PM-ed Anchor yesterday, before this thread started. 'Cos I have foresight!
By the way, Bushycat, I'd be very careful if I were you! |

And watch your back... those are the ones that hurt the most.

Re: Note of Appreciation for the Moderators
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
with the onset of Mayan the 6th night and the forum returning to free for all status the onslaught of negativity has been almost overwhelming. Many positive people here have stayed out of the fray and for that let me voice my appreciation. Thank you! I don't like playing tough, I am generally a happy person and nothing much gets to me. however these are dark times and requires harder measures to ensure the essence of what we all created here remains true to form. Raising my 3 kids has given me the experience needed to deal with some of the *cough* less positive individuals here and will continue to do so with compassion and tolerance as long as I am wanted here. Love to all!

Re: Note of Appreciation for the Moderators
I would just like to say that your task has not been an easy one of late. your compassion and patience has truly been tested. all of you have done an excellent job.
I would like to consider this experience as a test for us all for what may (or may not) lie ahead on a global scale should things become worse during the earth changes. We should take this small experience and learn from it when we will need to call upon it for guidance. |

Re: Note of Appreciation for the Moderators
First id like to give a little shout out to my mom who made this all possible by raising this little bstard right here.
But seriously, thank you all for your kind words of love and appreciation. And just remember guys the biggest thanks you can give us is your non-compliance with any trolls that are doing the rounds at any given moment. It really does take up a lot of time for us to be constantly keeping an eye on them and trying to clean up their trail of destruction. If people dont respond to a troll, the troll looses his power. Its as simple as that and all of you guys can help out to take a little bit of that weight off. Wishing everyone a beautifull christmas, and may all your wishes manifest in the new year. |
