A red rain phenomenon occurred in Kerala, India starting from 25th July 2001, in which the rainwater appeared coloured in various localized places that are spread over a few hundred kilometers in Kerala. Maximum cases were reported during the first 10 days and isolated cases were found to occur for about 2 months. The striking red colouration of the rainwater was found to be due to the suspension of microscopic red particles having the appearance of biological cells. These particles have no similarity with usual desert dust. An estimated minimum quantity of 50,000 kg of red particles has fallen from the sky through red rain. An analysis of this strange phenomenon further shows that the conventional atmospheric transport processes like dust storms etc. cannot explain this phenomenon. The electron microscopic study of the red particles shows fine cell structure indicating their biological cell like nature. EDAX analysis shows that the major elements present in these cell like particles are carbon and oxygen. Strangely, a test for DNA using Ethidium Bromide dye fluorescence technique indicates absence of DNA in these cells. In the context of a suspected link between a meteor airburst event and the red rain, the possibility for the extraterrestrial origin of these particles from cometary fragments is discussed.

Insummer, 2001, red rain fell in this 150 km by 450 km area of southwestern India. Data from “The Red Rain Phenomenon…”Louis, of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, India, told us in a brief email that the red rain fell on his hometown of Kottayam, “and I was immediately interested.” Under a microscope, the rusty-red water contained thick-walled objects that looked like cells. The cells had no nuclei, but they did contain structures that resembled the tiny organelles inside familiar cells.Most amazing, says Louis, the cells can reproduce under conditions that usually kill life. “These cells can be cultured at high temperature (about 600° F) and pressure conditions and at high temperature their growth rate (i.e. multiplication) can be very fast.” The details on replication are being submitted to another journal.Louis’s study, published in March (see “The Red Rain Phenomenon …” in the bibliography), also claimed that:

The rainfall averaged 9 million cells per cubic centimeter. At least 50 metric tons of cells fell on Kerala.

Most of the rain fell in the first 10 days, but some persisted for two months.

The first red rain occurred hours after local people heard a loud, cracking sound — possibly the high-altitude explosion of a small meteor. The elliptical pattern of red rainfall resembles the pattern of fragments when a meteor strikes at a low angle — but no meteor fragments were found.

While rainfall commonly contains desert dust, Louis noted that the cells in the Kerala samples looked nothing like dust.

An electron-microscope photo “clearly shows that these particles are having a fine structure similar to biological cell (sic),” the Louis report said.

X-ray absorption analysis revealed high proportions of carbon, oxygen, silicon, aluminum and iron.

The Louis report tried to answer obvious objections to the alien theory. For example, why didn’t the cells rain out right away? Louis calculated that they would slowly drift down, taking up to 60 days to reach Earth’s surface. The idea that one body of air would blanket Kerala for 60 days caught the eye of Ian Goddard, an independent researcher who wrote a debunking of the red-rain-as-aliens. Goddard wrote us to say, “One fatal flaw with the ‘alien microbe’ theory is that the red rains fell sporadically between late July and late September of 2001.” It’s “simply preposterous” to argue that these microscopic particles would slowly rain out of the atmosphere for two months, he wrote. “Even without monsoon winds blowing across the state the whole time such light aerosols released at a high altitude would be blown hundreds or thousands of miles away over that time.” (The Why Files covered long-distance dust.)

Dusty?
The 2006 Louis article also cites a negative test for DNA at the Center for Astrobiology at Cardiff University, United Kingdom that “Strangely … indicates absence of DNA in these cells.”

DNA occurs in almost all life on Earth, and its absence was considered strong evidence for an extraterrestrial origin cells.

But there are holes in this amazing claim. As Louis admitted by email, “This is not an ultimate test for DNA, it may fail due to unknown reasons — like if the cells have clever mechanisms to hide the DNA from interacting with the dye.” Lynn Rothschild, an associate professor of human biology at Stanford University and editor of the International Journal of Astrobiology, questions the reliability of the Cardiff claims, which should, she say, have been performed under a microscope.

Finally, the Cardiff lab seems to have changed its tune. According to its website: “Further work in progress has yielded positive for DNA using DAPI staining in the cells and daughters. However, this identification is not yet fully confirmed, and might be considered equivocal.” We emailed Cardiff astrobiology director N.C. Wickramasinghe for clarification, but he never got back to us

Last winter Louis sent some of his samples to astronomer Chandra Wickramasinghe and his colleagues at Cardkff University in Wales, who are now attempting to replicate his experiments; Wickramasinghe expects to publish his initial findings later this year.
Meanwhle, more down to Earth theories abound. One Indian government investigation conducted in 2001 lays blame for what some have called "blood rains" on algae. Other theories have implicated fungal spores, red dust swept up from the Arabian Peninsula, even a fine mist of blood cells produced by a meteor striking a high flying flock of bats.
Louis and his colleagues dismiss all these theories, pointing to the fact that both algae and blood cells have thin walls and die quickly when exposed to water and air. More important, they argue, blood cells don't replicate. "We've already got some stunning pictures (transmission electron micrographs) of these cells sliced in the middle." Wickramasinghe says, "We see them budding, with little daughter cells inside the big ones."
Louis' theory holds special appeal for Wickramainghe. A quarter of a century ago, he co-authored the modern theory of panspermia, which posits that bacteria riddled space rocks seeded life on arth. "If it's true that liffe on Earth was introduced bycomets four billion years ago." the astronomer says, "one could expect that microorganisms are still injected into out environment from time to time. This could be one of those events."
The next significant step, explains University of heffield microbiologist Milton Wainwright, who is part of another British team now studying Louis' samples, is to confirm whether the cells truly lack DNA. So far, only preliminary DNA test has come back positive. "Life as we know it must contain DNA, or it's not life." he says, "but even if this organism proves to be an anomaly, the absence of DNA wouldn't necesarily mean it's extraterrestril.
Louis and Wickramasighe are planning further experiments to test the cells for specific carbon isotopes. If the results for specific carbon isotopes falls outside the norms for life on Earth, it would be powerful new evidence for Louis' idea, of which even Louis himself remains skeptical. "I would be most happy to accept a simpler explanation." he says, "but I cannot find any."

AlienThere is a small bottle containing a red fluid on a shelf in Sheffield University's microbiology laboratory. The liquid looks cloudy and uninteresting. Yet, if one group of scientists is correct, the phial contains the first samples of extraterrestrial life isolated by researchers.

Inside the bottle are samples left over from one of the strangest incidents in recent meteorological history. On 25 July, 2001, blood-red rain fell over the Kerala district of western India. And these rain bursts continued for the next two months. All along the coast it rained crimson, turning local people's clothes pink, burning leaves on trees and falling as scarlet sheets at some points.

Investigations suggested the rain was red because winds had swept up dust from Arabia and dumped it on Kerala. But Godfrey Louis, a physicist at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, after gathering samples left over from the rains, concluded this was nonsense.

'If you look at these particles under a microscope, you can see they are not dust, they have a clear biological appearance.' Instead Louis decided that the rain was made up of bacteria-like material that had been swept to Earth from a passing comet. In short, it rained aliens over India during the summer of 2001.

Not everyone is convinced by the idea, of course. Indeed most researchers think it is highly dubious. One scientist who posted a message on Louis's website described it as '********'.

But a few researchers believe Louis may be on to something and are following up his work. Milton Wainwright, a microbiologist at Sheffield, is now testing samples of Kerala's red rain. 'It is too early to say what's in the phial,' he said. 'But it is certainly not dust. Nor is there any DNA there, but then alien bacteria would not necessarily contain DNA.'

Critical to Louis's theory is the length of time the red rain fell on Kerala. Two months is too long for it to have been wind-borne dust, he says. In addition, one analysis showed the particles were 50 per cent carbon, 45 per cent oxygen with traces of sodium and iron: consistent with biological material. Louis also discovered that, hours before the first red rain fell, there was a loud sonic boom that shook houses in Kerala. Only an incoming meteorite could have triggered such a blast, he claims. This had broken from a passing comet and shot towards the coast, shedding microbes as it travelled. These then mixed with clouds and fell with the rain. Many scientists accept that comets may be rich in organic chemicals and a few, such as the late Fred Hoyle, the UK theorist, argued that life on Earth evolved from microbes that had been brought here on comets. But most researchers say that Louis is making too great a leap in connecting his rain with microbes from a comet.

For his part, Louis is unrepentant. 'If anybody hears a theory like this, that it is from a comet, they dismiss it as an unbelievable kind of conclusion. Unless people understand our arguments - people will just rule it out as an impossible thing, that extra-terrestrial biology is responsible for this red rain.'

Well, if the cells had no DNA then they could not have been from this universe. Everything in this universe has DNA because no matter where you look in the universe you find the torsian feilds that generate DNA.

I heard David wilcock talk about some Russian scientists who where actually able to build a torsian feild detector that could be pointed out to space. They thought that they could pin point where other life forms where in the universe by scanning the cosmos with this instrument. To thier supprise, no matter where they pointed the instrument, there where torsian feilds.

The double helix is a manifestation of these twisting fields of energy. It not only programs life in the matrix of our reality, it also is the programming structure that holds all material things out of superposition. Superpostion is what happens to particles when they go into a wave state and they become probabilities instead of realities.

So my personal theroy on this is that some how these cells where gated in through some sort of hyperuniversal portal of some sort. Some claim that these portals are generated when nuclear weapons are detonated. So perhaps one of these portals was made during some of Indias nuclear testing.

Connecting red rain to the theory that life could be seeded:

Panspermia (Gk. πάς/πάν (pas/pan, all) and σπέρμα (sperma, seed)) is the hypothesis that "seeds" of life exist already all over the Universe, that life on Earth may have originated through these "seeds", and that they may deliver or have delivered life to other habitable bodies.

The related but distinct idea of exogenesis (Gk. εξω (exo, outside) and γενεσις (genesis, origin)) is a more limited hypothesis that proposes life on Earth was transferred from elsewhere in the Universe but makes no prediction about how widespread it is. Because the term "panspermia" is more well-known, it tends to be used in reference to what should strictly speaking be called exogenesis.

In this case, no DNA was found. There are theories that this could be an alien invasion, biological weapon from space, or some attempt to seed the Earth with the next dominant species after we are gone - of course these are "War of the World" scenarios.

However, there is a spontaneous chaotic order of how the cosmos works. And this could also be a new discovery of how maybe some species were radically killed. Maybe instead of dying from the impact of a comet, the dinosaurs died from the bacteria or anti-life cells from the comet.

This may be a way the cosmos cleanses and created (seeds) life on planets. I can see why the red rain would be scary. Especially when finding an alien origin, this may answer some mysteries.

There are also prophecies from the bible that talk about raining blood as a sign of the end times. But this is more a religious aspect. However, this could explain the red rain in Egypt with the ten plagues. Are the ETs linked to this? Is there a connection or a specific purpose to rain red alien cells before each transition from one age to the next? Could this be an act of God or Aliens? Or both?

The first red rain fell in the districts of Kottayam and Idukki in the southern part of the state. Other colers, including yellow, green, and black rains were reported. Many occurrences of the colored rain were witnessed over the first 10 days of the phenomenon, followed by less frequent downpours until late September. The coloration of the rain was due to particles in suspension in the rain water. At times the collected water was as red as blood.
