This was just released, a partially declassified document. Regarding the historic USA/UK alliance -

ISCAP DIRECTS NSA TO RELEASE COMINT HISTORY
ISCAP = Interagency Security Classification Appeals Panel
http://www.fas.org/blog/secrecy/

In 2005, the National Security Agency released a partially declassified (pdf) 1952 history of communications intelligence prior to Pearl Harbor with several passages censored. But this month, the NSA released the complete text (pdf, 25pp) of the document after the Interagency Security Classification Appeals Panel (ISCAP) determined that there was no justification for continued classification of the withheld portions.

During World War II, "Collaboration with the BRITISH COMINT organization got off to a bad start so far as the Navy was concerned...," according to one newly declassified paragraph from the official history. "For several months U.S. Navy COMINT personnel thought they had been double-crossed by the British and were reluctant to go ahead with collaboration in direction finding and other matters which were greatly to England's advantage throughout 1941." Subsequent cooperation, however, proved "harmonious."

Speaking of "harmony," birds on a wire, chickens in a coop, whatever [ducks in a row]- Stephen Harper (Canada) has also been pushing for free trade with Colombia in S.America too.

__________________________________

Colombia's current government is accused of corruption, links to paramilitary death squads and drug traffickers, and state sanctioned impunity for crimes committed.
Almost 400 trade unionists have been murdered over the past five years and only 1.9% of the crimes have been solved.
Criminal networks control economic activities and political institutions in 23 of the 31 provinces.
Paramilitary terror and massacres have been used to try to dismantle Indigenous, Afro-Colombian and other social movements and vulnerable groups in order to take over their resource rich territories for the benefit of the mostly multinational extractive industries and agriculture such as "African" palm oil. Few controls exist to ensure that extractive companies behave responsibly.
Extrajudicial executions by the army are on the rise.
There are 3.8 million internally displaced people, 57% of which are women. The UN calls this the worst humanitarian disaster in the Western Hemisphere and it is growing.
Given this reality, I believe it does not make sense to negotiate a free trade deal with Colombia before measures are taken to ensure the following:
1. the rule of law and an end to impunity for crimes against union leaders, human rights defenders and the civilian population;
2. that Canadian extractive companies operating in Colombia act responsibly to the communities in which they operate;
3. that displaced communities can return to their lands;
4. that Indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities are involved and allowed a say on development projects which take place on their territories;
5. that no products, resources or other commercial goods are produced on lands illegally appropriated by drug traffickers and paramilitary groups;
6. that a trade deal does not benefit government linked criminal networks;
7. that an international business deal with Colombia or any other country fosters "fair trade", and does not only benefit international investors while worsening widespread conditions of poverty and social exclusion.
Ineffective labour and environmental side agreements with no teeth on rights and standards will do nothing to improve the situation described above.
Until you can assure the Canadian public that these concerns have been addressed please stop negotiations now.

Harper chokes (again)
(there is a CDN buyer here; Harper prefers military-industrial complex & foreign owners)

Courts seen approving Nortel wireless asset sale
Tuesday July 28, 05:20 PM
http://uk.biz.yahoo.com/28072009/323...sset-sale.html

TORONTO, July 28 (Reuters) - The $1.13 billion sale of Nortel Networks' prized wireless assets to Swedish telecoms equipment maker Ericsson (Stockholm: ERIC-B.ST - news) will likely receive the blessing of the courts on Tuesday, although it is not yet clear if it will pass Canadian government muster.

Ericsson won an auction for the key CDMA and next-generation LTE wireless technology assets of Canada's bankrupt Nortel early on Saturday, beating out Nokia Siemens Networks and private equity firm MatlinPatterson...

If approved by the courts, the deal would still need the approval of the Canadian government, which has been lobbied by BlackBerry maker Research In Motion to block the sale. RIM argues that keeping the Nortel technology in Canada is vital to national security....

TECHNOLOGY NATIONALISM?

Canada's leading political parties have waded into the debate, turning the sale into a nationalist issue and questioning how much Canada is doing to support its technology industry.

The minority Conservative government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, potentially facing an election later this year, came under increasing pressure on Tuesday from opposition parties to block the deal...

However, government officials could not say for certain if the Ericsson acquisition would be subject to a review.

On Monday, a source said that RIM, which claims Nortel blocked its $1.1 billion approach for the wireless assets last week, has held talks with Nortel about buying the next-generation wireless patents that were not part of the wireless asset sale to Ericsson.

Upcoming meetings -

Harper to meet with Obama, Calderon at summit
Canwest News Service August 9, 2009 11:28 AM
http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Ha...552/story.html

...Calderon and Harper were to have a one-on-one meeting Sunday, and it is expected that Calderon will press Harper to drop the recently imposed visa restrictions on Mexican nationals visiting Canada.

Harper won't get to meet one-on-one with Obama at the two-day Mexico summit. But the prime minister's office announced Friday that Harper will visit Obama at the White House on Sept. 16, a week before the two leaders head to the G20 summit in Pittsburgh.

...After the Mexico summit, Harper is scheduled to fly to Panama, where he is expected to sign a free-trade agreement with Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli. It will be the first time a Canadian prime minister has visited Panama.

Funny, I never heard anything about free trade with Panama in the news

On May 2008 the Governments of Canada and Panama agreed to participate in exploratory discussions on the possibility of a free trade agreement. The first round of negotiations took place on 29 October 2008 in Ottawa, Canada. The second was held on 1-5 December 2008, in Panama City, and the third round of negotiations took place the week of January 12-19, 2009 in Ottawa. The fourth round of free trade negotiations ended on 25 March 2009.

Yes our secretive PM Harper is tiptoeing around the Mulberry Bush again keeping things to himself and those closest to him...doesn't Panama have tax free status for those who move to that country?
As for a North American Union didn't a Second Revolution start this week in the United States of America to directly oppose tyranny in any shape or form?

Ortho - I happened upon that person I was thinking of at the time. He's Alfred Webre. There are quite a few videos online that come up, including this interview I watched on Conscious Media Network. http://www.consciousmedianetwork.com/members/awebre.htm

Alfred Lambremont Webre, J.D., M.Ed. (b. May 24, 1942 on a U.S. Naval Air Station) is an author, lawyer (member of the District of Columbia Bar), futurist, peace activist, environmental activist, and a space activist who promotes the ban of space weapons. [2][3][4][5] He was a co-architect of the Space Preservation Treaty and the Space Preservation Act that was introduced to the U.S. Congress by Congressman Dennis Kucinich and is endorsed by more than 270 NGO's worldwide.

Thank-you no caste. Alfred Webre is an interesting person. I believe he has collaborated with Carol Rosin regarding preventing the weaponization of space. I think I need to transition toward exopolitics. I'm not sure where to turn in this regard...but Michael Salla, Alfred Webre, Carol Rosin, Steven Greer et al...may be a good place to begin. I believe that the human race should control the human race...and not be controlled by an alien nation. Then we can cautiously interact with truly benevolent races...if they exist. All others should be expelled from this solar system...at least until they decide to become benevolent...and demonstrate conclusively that they have, indeed, become truly benevolent.

If the North American Union is based upon the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights (in an uncorrupted form)...and if a silver-based Amero is issued by a non-private central bank...I think it would be a great idea. But if it is simply another step toward a corrupt New World Order Theocracy...then I will passively fight it.

Whot!! Are those happy faces, orthodoxymoron!!!!

And just when I found an article about Lucifer (though I happen to agree with 777's more internal terrain ideas) -

Is this Man Lucifer?

Starting in January, [Wes] Penre has written an astonishing five-part series about a Tennessee-based, 35-year-old playboy- tycoon who Penre says is literally the incarnation of Lucifer but "redeemed." [Penre has pulled this series- see below] It's all hush-hush and Penre's life is in danger. He has been contacted by defectors who said young Supriem David Rockefeller dictates to the likes of Henry Kissinger, Zbig Brzezinski and George H.W. Bush. He is going to save mankind by instituting a benevolent New World Order. He wants to atone for the Rebellion against God which is the source of all of mankind's problems. He wants us to accept his rule so he can clean up the mess. (Right, and I have some land in Florida...)
http://www.henrymakow.com/playboy_lu...launch_be.html

Luckily, he doesn't matter. None of them do.
