I agree, It would have to be well thought out, I am still working on it after 6 months while trying to weigh up the pros and cons of of different areas. So much stuff to take into consideration.

Re: Any Brits out there !!!.....link up
dom, avalon is the isle of apples......england, in terms of myth......or so i can gather
how i see it is this.......i believe that for me it is better to build a community based around ones one place of living, that way the terrain is familier (please excuse my dreadfull spelling i am dyslexic), local plants can be studied and it is easyier to have the support of people all ready in ones life (that is if peeps like those around them ).......so i have been busy putting down roots where i live. bou x

Re: Any Brits out there !!!.....link up
Hey there.
Long time watcher, first time calller and all that. Just wanted to say... Cool thread. And perhaps more than one location would be even better, located throughout the uk including high places, remote havens in the UK's many forests and coastal spots incase we need to run. But I get ahead of myself. The reason for my post was really to say we could expand this in many quick and easy ways beyond just discussing locations. We should also link up online more effectively before hand, even get an idea of numbers and locations. It would also be sweet to take a closer look at a few UK based events of note. And yes, i'm aware the powers that me may well be watching, or at least that the possibility is open. But personnally I'm a public enough figure to know that if they are the type to take interest in me and mine, then they are probably watching already. But if you are the sort to worry then please, don't feel like you must. Anyway, I'm located in Lancashire, and am far from alone up here when it comes to like minded individuals. I'd be happy to give my facebook msn, skype or whatever to anyone who requests. Just pm me. |

I plan to make it to Bury St Edmunds if the SHTF and I'm still in the UK. If I can travel that is... if there is electricity and the grid doesn't go down, if not I'll be staying put as I have some supplies. Will it get bad? |

Seems staying "put" may be the best plan, atleast if no electic you have a roof over you and whatever supplies you may have.
