The demise of the ATS forums
I have been told today that my show's official forum is being evicted by ATS (www.abovetopsecret.com). You canb see the U2U they sent me on my blog at http://blog.myspace.com/rosshemsworth
In recent months, ATS (once a great forum) has been in my opinion, over-moderated and over-policed and no longer do I feel, are you allowed to post the truth if it doesn't fit in with the Director's beliefs. Of late we have seen them being extremely over-protective of former pop icon Robbie Williams after he joinedthem on an investigation at Gilliland Ranch. Wll guess what? Since their big publicity campaign they appear to have a host of new adverts on the site and have struck a deal with Hllywood's biggest agents The "William Morris Agency"! When I joined ATS I felt it was an open forum where conspiracies, UFO's, crop circles and other phenomena cold be openly discussed. Unfortunately those days seem to have gone. This is not just me whinging because I am being evicted from the forum, I have had private messages from others who have also had their posting priveleges taken a way. So much for free speech huh? Re: The demise of the ATS forums
I suppose that's how things work. A site gets a good reputation and become's popular. That then draws attention, so it gets infiltrated and used...

Yes I guess so. Like I always say, everyone has their price!
Shame though it had attracted heavy traffic and was a very good site. Ross |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
I started a thread on there today about "over moderation on ATS" and guess what? I am now banned from posting!
I have today asked that my show's official forum now be removed from ATS within 12 hours, I want no further association with them after this. Ross |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
Yes I have heard various tales of infiltration and disinformation at ATS but hadn't believed them before!
As for my TV and radio show, each week we discuss everything from comspiracies to UFO's, paranormal to crop circles etc and always form a positive viewpoint - we don't have sceptics ripping people apart! You can find out more at http://www.nowthatsweird.co.uk There is also a discussion for the TV show at the TV station's website which is http://www.edgemediatv.com/forum Ross |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
I went on there as 'anonymous' and posted a couple of articles and viewpoints that were very relevant to the subject material being discussed-not one was authorised!!That was enough for me-i wasn't intersted with the site anyway from the viewing i did on the postings-highly censored-irony in the manifest methinks.

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
what do you mean by your ' shows offcial forum' ?
are you just a normal poster or do you have a 'show ' ATS is not a nice site, there are some really bad energies there, take it as a blessing that you have been banned |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
Since their "golden goose" Robbie Williams joined the forum, notice how they seem to have masses of new advertisers and of course this new deal with the William Morris Agency! It's no wonder they are protecting him so well from anyone trying to chat to him lol!
The final straw for me though was the general over-moderation and heavy policing of people's posts of late. I am getting loads of messages from members who are coming to the same conclusions about ATS, some of whom have even had their posts deleted supporting me this morning! Ah well, onwards and upwards the truth IS out there (somewhere!) Ross |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
LMAO - obviously the moderators are not communicating too well on ATS, I've just been served with a "posting ban" by one of the Directors called "Sceptic Overlord" who was obviously unaware I had already been banned from posting by another moderator earlier today!
Cowboys lol! Ross |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
I think we just need to be thankful to Bill and Kerry for starting this wonderful community. It has honestly been a blessing!
ATS does kinda give a little bit of a bad vibe. I also do agree about OMF, Its a great board. i just wish I had spent more time there. I had no idea they had that much discussion about Project Camelot. |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
Yes and I had a lovely e-mail welcoming me to the Open Minds Forum as many of them on there know me and are also involved with Exopolitics of which I am an advisory board member.
I am also UK Director of International UFO Congress which takes place in Laughlin each year, a great annual event! Ross |

Re: The demise of the ATS forums
This is the exact reason why the Billy Meier case could be real, the people at ATS have contaminated that case so badly it make anyone doubt it ever took place.
