The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting a revolution in America , food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

"We're going to see the end of the retail Christmas....we're going to see a fundamental shift take place....putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree," said Celente, adding that the situation would be "worse than the great depression".

" America 's going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for," said Celente, noting that people's refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as "The Panic of 2008," adding that "giants (would) tumble to their deaths," which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 percent.

The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, "The world's middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest," and that, "The middle classes could become a revolutionary class."

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America .

"There will be a revolution in this country," he said. "It's not going to come yet, but it's going to come down the line and we're going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen."

"The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That's going to be the big one because people can't afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You're going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop."

"It's going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we're going to see many more."

"We're going to start seeing huge areas of vacant real estate and squatters living in them as well. It's going to be a picture the likes of which Americans are not going to be used to. It's going to come as a shock and with it, there's going to be a lot of crime. And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people's minds weren't wrecked on all these modern drugs - over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody's comprehension."

what ifs funny to read all of these media outlets have respect for him and when we say things like this we are labelled WACKO`S. Everything he says is spot on but guess what you won`t have to wait 4 years for it to materialize it is closer than you think . Things should start happening sometime this week small at first but when the ball starts rolling downhill it will pick up steam real fast from what I have seen

Without any negative intention toward M.Celente, I would like to remind that the future of a group/individual is created from the global consciousness of the people involved.

M.Celente is seeing a road, a direction taken by the people, reading the signs in a global manner requiring special talents that he definitely possess.

But, by listening to his statements not having this point of view in perspective, one may believe his statement because of his notoriety, and actively participate in the creation of his statements.

Keep in mind that he sees a direction, but the course may change during the manifestation of our global consciousness. It all depends on us in definitive.

Sometimes, the elite's of our world use this tactic to perpetrate their power and maintain us in a state of domination. They make us believe something, for this thing to manifest afterward in our reality. Something does not need to be real to be true, just make the people believing it is true and it will become real.

Steve with 7 billion people on this earth we need at least 51% to alter the outcome of what Gerald is saying is coming our way you can manifest what ever you want but with more of them believing this will happen then won`t chances are your Manifestation will be off. I for one look forward to the demise of our current system because there is no way we can go forward with it or nothing will change , You see these little dips in the market that is them trying to correct it or squeeze the last dollars out of the unsuspecting sheeple. Make no mistake this is going to happen beaware and recognize the signs when it starts

Hi Northern Boy. It does not take half of the population of the whole planet to change a movement that will affect the whole planet. If your vision and feelings for the future (intention) is in harmony with the natural creative flow of the Creation, it takes only few people to make great change. It's not a matter of number, but a matter of harmony with nature and a matter of strength of focus from the people involved.

So, if only a small portion of the U.S.A population concentrate on a new economy, a new way of sharing goods and services, with focus, time, and feelings, using the Universal Laws that are always at work, the economic situation will change in the U.S.A. The how is not in our field of decision. It is in the Creation's power to decide how it will happen.

But, if enough people is focusing unconsciously on riots, starvation and war, it does not go in harmony with the natural flow of Creation, but might manifest because the mass is creating it. It all depends on consciousness. And Creation is consciousness. One of the first step to awakening from the false beliefs system many religions carry on is that we are intelligent beings (Hu-manity) with will and emotions living on an intelligent being with will and emotions (Earth) all living into an intelligent being with will and emotions (Creation). All these beings contributing their part of creativity because of their own consciousness and the laws that make it all evolve.

The focus of a few dedicated people on earth who regularly meditate with clear thoughts and strong feelings on a future of freedom, peace and harmony for Hu-manity and planet Earth is so strong that it creates more and manifest faster then a whole mass of Hu-mans that unconsciously creates chaos and fear because they believe all what the system throw at them. This is well known by the controllers, it is how they maintain us in a state of servitude. With secret technology, they even inspire thoughts of prophecy to certain individuals in order to reach the ones who do not believe in the mass media.

I too dream of a new economic system, but it goes further. I dream of a new Hu-man.

A Hu-man who is at 100% of it's potential. Free of the consciousness of domination, fear of others, victimization and the need to be a hero. A new planet Earth where life is free to evolve. A new Hu-manity facing the Universe with responsibility and openness.

How it will happen is not my responsibility. When depends on us. Our sphere of influence is proportional to our evolution of global consciousness. If we want a new economy, it does not have to be violent and fearful, because if it is, we can all be sure it will only serves the elite's will, again.
